G'day All, I have been reading over the new skills and thinking about their uses, here are my thoughts on wrestle and grab.
It seems to me wrestle is quite a good skill for low armoured players who aren't interested in a bash (elves or thralls, for example).
Use 1 - Defence - In your opponents turn, if he chooses both down result you wrestle him. In your subsequent turn your player can simply get up and move without the need for dodging and there are now up to 8 squares now TZless to move through.
Use 2 - Offence - You have a few blocks on the perimeter of a solid block-heavy cage, wrestle increases the chance of making holes in the cage, hopefully leaving a path to blitz the ball.
Use 3 - Offence - Once you have made a hole in the cage, you can use a wrestling player to blitz the ball. Even if your opponent has block AND sure hands, a both down result will get the ball off them. (Wrestle + Stip Ball vs Block + non-Sure Hands ball carrier means 97% chance of getting the ball off them on 2 dice and 83% on one dice)
Grab on a Wood Elf Treeman seems to be quite useful as it makes the one turn pushback touchdown easier (no need for an initial blitz).
What are your thoughts on the skills?
PD
Disclaimer: I have only read the new rules and am yet to play a game with them.

little bit confused by this description. Sorry if this was covered in other topic but what is definite answer - Can you use Grab during a Blitz or not?Grab (Strength)
... To represent this, only while making a Block Action, if his block results in a push back he may choose any empty square adjacent to his opponent to push back his opponent. When making a Block or Blitz Action, Grab and Side Step will cancel each other out and the standard pushback rules apply...
