TTM and CAS - LRB 5

Post by Omalley69 »

hey

what if an ogre throws a snot right in the face of a lineman...breaks the armor and the lineman dies?

does the ogre or snot gets a CAS for killing the lineman?

and no one get a CAS for a dead thrown snot right?

You only get CAS for casualties caused by BLOCKS. TTM is not a Block.

Its funny if it works, but no SPP for anyone. Just the humiliation of a human dying from a snotling getting thrown at him.

It should be a casualty. I demand we change the rules immediately! :D

Agreed. And it should be a CAS for the Thrower and the Throwee (i.e. thrown player). ;)

It should only be a Cas if it kills a Brettonian, or the other chicken-hat lover.

As a house rule, if it kills a Bret, then I think I'll award as many SPPs as is needed to get the player to the next level (or give him a bonus skill if he's at the max all ready).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Surviving the through for the snotling is key. It would still be awesome to see, you can't defend against that if it works. Its an awesome defencive move.

Does that mean fouls that kill opponents don't get CAS either? That came up last week.

The only way to gain CAS SPPs is through a block that knocks the opponent down. This can happen either when you throw the block or you're blocked yourself.

You don't get CAS SPPs for any of the following:
Crowd throwing a rock
Fouls
Pushing a player into the crowd and they injure him
Failed Dodges
Failed GFIs
If you're a Dwarf*
Secret Weapon Bomb and Chainsaw "attacks"
Scattering a thrown player ontop of another player
CAS caused by induced cards
Stabs
(Have I missed any ways of causing a CAS that should be excluded?)

*Note: This one might not be true.
