Titchy

Post by datalorex »

Okay, Titchy says that the titchy players gets +1 to dodge rolls. Is that in addition to the normal +1 to die rolls? So a snotling always dodges on a 2+?

The wording doesn't mention if it includes or doesn't include the normal +1 to dodge.

Well, every other skill doesn't mention if it includes the normal +1 to dodge, either. Even if you dare to have the 'Dirty Player' skill, you get +1 while dodging nontheless. ;)

If you still need an answer: Yes, those Snotlings will dodge with 2+. At least as long your opponent does not have 'Diving Tackle' or 'Prehensile Tail'.

I had to get home and crack open my rulebook:

Titchy (Extraordinary)
Titchy players tend to be even smaller and more nimble than other
Stunty players. To represent this, the player may add 1 to any Dodge roll
he attempts.
On the other hand, while opponents do have to dodge to
leave any of a Titchy player’s tackle zones, Titchy players are so small
that they do not exert a -1 modifier when opponents dodge into any of
their tackle zones.

The "titchy" player gets +1 for being titchy... titchy players are also "stunty":

Stunty (Extraordinary)
The player is so small that they are very difficult to tackle because they
can duck underneath opposing players’ outstretched arms and run
between their legs. On the other hand, Stunty players are just a bit too
small to throw the ball very well, and are easily injured. To represent
these things a player with the Stunty skill may ignore any enemy tackle
zones on the square he is moving to when he makes a Dodge roll (i.e.,
they always end up with a +1 Dodge roll modifier)
, but must subtract 1
from the roll when they pass. In addition, add 1 to any Injury roll made
against a player with the Stunty skill. Stunties that are armed with a
Secret Weapon are not allowed to ignore enemy tackle zones, but still
suffer the other penalties.

So it is a +2, total, on the dodge making it a 2+ dodge no matter where they go....

Not when it comes to dodging....

Blocking is another matter, when any non-stunty player (i.e. greater than STR 2) blocks them it's a three dice block!

With AV 5 they break easily!

That said I have a lot of fun with my Ogre team.....
