Jump up on Bombardier?

Post by mattwhile »

Can I just double check that a bombardier cannot throw a bomb in the same turn if he has jump up?

From my reading of the rulebook he can't.

The relevant parts:

From Jump Up
If the
player declares any Action other than a Block Action he may stand up for
free
without paying the three squares of movement.
From Bombardier:
A coach may choose to have a Bombardier who is not Prone or Stunned
throw a bomb instead of taking any other Action with the player. This
does not use the team's Pass Action for the turn. The bomb is thrown
using the rules for throwing the ball (including weather effects and use of
Hail Mary Pass), except that the player may not move or stand up before
throwing it (he needs time to light the fuse!).
Until now I was certain you could use jump up with throwing bombs, but from this it seems you cant. Guess I need to change my wishlist for my gobbos. :)

Galak 3:16 says "There is a point in time that a player really should read the rulebook."

Thus there is a point in time when you shouldnt.

s031720 is correct, you can't use the JU skill to throw a bomb as JU just changes the cost of standing up.
