While a 7ST would be nice, I think I'ld choose the Block.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

STR +1- 3 die blocks all over the place, and very difficult to hit you back.

Halfling trees lost loner, so you can live with a 3 die block almost always.

re-roll a fumble?
I do not consider pass to be a first doubles pick (I could be wrong)

Take the str+1. It'll be great for intimidating your opponent and gain you a psychological advantage.

Don't underestimate the difference between ST6 and ST7.

If not for anything else, the +ST for the rarity of it. It's way easier to roll double then to roll 12.

But let's do the math here:

2-Die with block: 1/36 (~3%) chance of falling when blocking (11% without block)
3-Die without block 8/216(~4%) chance of falling when blocking (0,4% with block)

So 2-Dices with block is safer in terms of blocking even if we assume that you only do 3-Dice blocks.

But ST7 has the same "perks" as ST6, only better.
-The oponnent need almost half(give or take depending on race) his team in order to get 2 dices on you. He will allways need one more than with ST6.
-The amount of players that you can block with 3 dices is way more than with ST6
-Psycological advantage, very important stuff. Psycology. Mind Stuff you know. Has great impact in the game. I could explain in laymans terms why, but just take my word for it ok?

Block all the way. After that you get Multiple Block. You can easily get a single 3 dice with 6 ST and block makes it that more useful.

Check out Treant:

Block. Just for being able to (better) take down other big guys, that usually come without block. Strength isn't everything in BB...
