If you get another normal skill up after all that I would be suprised, have they not rolled a +stat yet?

Ummm, sure hands? To cancel out strip ball.

P.S how much is that catcher worth now?

Sure Hands, so the Strip Ballers can't get it off him - one of the main uses I've found for WE catchers like that is to anticipate the Blitz! Kick-off result, run through and catch it, then hang around during the opponent's turn before scoring. Also helps him out if he's running around to pick up a dropped ball.

Leap might also work to get him out of danger or around defences specifically designed to stop him. Diving Catch, maybe, for that extra +1 to cancel out a tackle zone or two. Other than that, you can rarely go wrong with Pro.

he is now a 190

as far as sure hands ... he only gets the ball to score that turn (Pass/catch/score)

If that is how you use him, perhaps Diving Catch?

Rarely do WE have trouble scoring, so IMO getting skills which make scoring easier, are not as important as taking skills that frustrate/irritate opponents during their drives.

In particular, anything which forces them to act is a great choice for a WE players.

I'd go for Shadowing.

With Sidestep/Fend/Blodge he will be great at marking a ball carrier, corner of a cage. The turn your Wardancer makes his move, this player puts himself in position that if you don't get the ball out, your opponent will not have the resources to deal with both the Wardancer *and* this catcher.

Toss in a couple other Line elf victims (poor WE lineman that have to mark a player for a turn) and you can really snag up an opponents drive, make them either take a risk to score, or get in a worse position so you can get the ball on your next turn.

WE defense, IMO, is all about passive aggression and applying pressure without actually marking players. Its one of the reasons I love WE. They can't hang with teams that Bash but they have to stick their nose in their at least once or twice.

I think you need to post a few of your other special players as well to see the possible synergy.

Doesn't seem like you really need any ball handling skills so diving tackle or tackle would be nice and would work with the blodge side step fend. Dauntless is a great choice as well as it could give you that one extra hit that could start a great chain reaction.

With the way you are using him I'd get "Jump Up."

That way if he is knocked down he can get up without loss of MA, so you can take full advantage of the sprint and surefeet that you already gave him.

However, since WE have no trouble scoring I rarely build catchers like that one. . .I'd go for dauntless normally, but it is too late for that guy.

What about Leap? Blodging keeps him up, so opponents would probably just lay tackle zones around him and one leap and one dodge roll could be easier than 3-4 dodge rolls into multiple tackle zones. Worked well for my High Elf Catcher.
