Dauntless and Horns

Post by DixonCider »

if a Beastman with Horns and Dauntless blitzes at a Black Ork, will he get two dice if both are unassisted?

No. See the last sentence of the Dauntless skill description.

dode's answer is correct, I believe. But in practical play, you could add an assist to get a 2-die block (no call for Dauntless).

On the plus side, a Beastmen blitzing a ST5 player (a Troll, for example), would get to use Dauntless. And he would get to use it on blocks against ST4 players.

On the downside, it is hard to make the case for Dauntless on a Beastman or Pestigor, given that there is so much raw ST on these teams already.

Hope that helps.

Interesting, Dixon - not had that reported as a bug. I'll check it.

Sorry about the apparently terse reply, btw - I was posting on my tablet and it's just nowhere near as easy as on a physical keyboard, so I tend to minimise words and not add quotes etc.

Needing a 2+, as horns would already have been applied.

I am thinking I will take one player with Block, Dauntless and Claw to take out big guys without block
