Really Stupid, Bonehead, Wild Animal,....Catching.

Okay, I think that I know the answer to my question, but want confirmation. If you want to catch a pass, or catch a hand off, do you need to roll for the Negatrait?

Why would you want to hand it to a Big Guy? Did they get an AG boost?

Passed to a Mino once, as my opponent didn't bother to mark him up as "you won't try to get the ball to him" - if I hadn't failed the WA roll he'd have tied the game.

If you have not declared an action, or have declared an action and not suffered the negatrait, all is well.... Catch is not an action....

A failed bone-head, or failed really stupid, player cannot catch a ball... while a wild animal has no such restriction... per LRB6, skills section....

That involves reading the rules, rather than just trying to bump a post count....

It's a perfectly fair question, that's what this part of the forum is for.

Take root would also count in this flavour of question.
I've passed/Handed Off to a Treeman before. Didn't need to roll Take Root beforehand, but did do so when I wanted to move/take action with him that turn.

And to brag....Treeman scores, 5th turn, 1st half against orc. HFH flings in NAF WC2....I won game! :D
