Does "throw a rock" apply to the dugout too?

Post by JJB »

When "throw a rock" has been rolled, must the player who is to be randomly selected be only picked from those standing on the pitch, or are players in the reserves, KO and injury boxes included as well?...

- sorry if that question has already been answered somewhere else, but then I haven't been able to find that answer...

any player can be hit by a rock, from anywhere on or off the field.

i should add, though, that pitch invasion is pitch only.

Living Rule Book p.19
"Throw a Rock: Each coach rolls two dice and
adds their team?s fan factor to the score; the
high scorer?s fans are the ones that threw the
rock. A tie means that both teams are affected.
Decide randomly which player in the other team
was hit (only players on the field are eligible)
and roll for the effects of the injury straight
away. No Armour roll is required."

So you cannot hit players in the dugout.

thought its was some of the special play cards that could affect players in the dugout and not the kick off table one

...and I listen to the advice of other coaches of my league, especially you and Haggislad insisting upon my taking a chaos team while I was thinking about playing Undead...
:-?

I am asking this question following an argument I had during a game in the OLBBL...
:P
Now I see that the rule had indeed been changed from the 3rd edition.

- Yeah, I know the OLBBL is not really a top quality league, which is the reason why that game was my penultimate one....

You don't have to follow our advice - but then we'd be able to say I told you so :D
