Would you ever give up a strength/agility/movement increase?

Post by Cool Hand Fluke »

My Bull Centaur gained his 2nd skill yesterday evening (he has block already - in addition to the starting stats). Now i rolled double 6 - strength increase. :D

Now i was all set to follow the advice on this site and go Break Tackle/Stand Firm but a St 5 BC was too tempting. :o

What do you think guys

I very rarely pass up on +1 ST, but AG and MA I do pass up on quite often.

St- i would probably never give it up.
Ag- only on ag 1 guys would i give it up, sometimes not even then.
Mv- would depend, too many variables.

I never pass on ST increase, neither on AG, sometimes on MA.

Having told that, I have a WONDERFUL ST 5 Bull Centaur and you can't imagine how feared he is.

I did pass on MA increase on him to pick Dodge though, on a double 5.

+1MA sometimes, but only if it was a double...
I can imagine letting a +1Ag go, but as I play Ag based teams mostly I never will.
Never +1St

I would never give up the +1 ST
The +1 AG depends on what team I play and what guy gets the +1 AG
+ 1 MA depends on more factors. I couldnt say it categorically.

Theoretically I could give up MA or AG if the player really didn't need them, but I have yet to do so. Double 5's could make the choice difficult. I can't imagine a player with no use for an increased ST.

I've never got an ST increase but I seriously doubt I'd ever give one up. AG depends totally on the player (on Skinks yay, on Saurus Warriors, boo). MA depends, but usually no. There tends to be too many skills that are just more useful, so I'd only really take it for players with limited skill access who can't get much else anyway. I've only ever kept one MA increase.

I once gave up a strength increase, I don't know if many people would have done the same in my situation, but I felt it worked quite well. I got it on an ag4 hobgoblin, and I decided that with the bull centaurs, and the big guy I could get, and the block and guard I had on my dwarf blockers that rather than having another st4 player, what I needed was someone who could pass the ball, so I gave him pass. That was quite dependant on the team though, since I had an ag3 bull that worked well as a receiver, and I also had another hobgoblin with ST4 already.

I figured that having pass would get him a skill sooner, and then I wouldn't be too tempted to bash people with him (not having block and with AV7 i figured he would be a target).

Having said that, I would never give up the ST increase on a bull centaur, or indeed in most situations, just as everyone has said.

I would have given him the st4 and made him your ball carrier in the cage, touchdowns get him more points and next skill quicker than completions
