chaos dwarf and their kind

Post by KLK »

OK, I'm going to buy a new chaos dwarf team, but I need some help:

the box comes with four blockers and 8 hobgoblins, OK. 12
I'll order two more blockers, OK. 14
in our league, a bull centaur is a big guy, so, I'll order one, OK. 15

and now the questions:

wich figure do you think is a good head coach?
and apothecary?
is good idea order one Zharg Madeye? if yes, wich figure do you think is the best?
what about order two different players instead of the two extra blockers? perhaps two ST 4 players, but wich one? balck orc blockers? any other suggestions?

thanks for your help.

Hi KLK.

You will need a minimum of:

2 Bull Centaurs
6 Chaos Dwarfs
8 Hobgoblins

You may also want to take a rookie Big Guy or two (Troll, Minotaur).

You may want to consider star players (Hthark, Grashnak), especially if you are thinking of going to tournaments where stars are allowed.

For Zharg you will, I guess, simply have to pick your favourite blunderbuss model (there are a lot of hats that quite annoy opponents).

For the coaching staff, I was quite happy with a set of Champion/Musician/Standard Bearer, which I was easily able to convert.

I haven't done any cheerleaders or assistant coaches yet; obviously the choice is wide.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

for head coach there are two models that come to mind they are the two gunners of the two different chaos dwarf war machines, the earthshaker and the death rocket. for an apothecary u can use the shell carriers of the eartshaker as a stretcher team.

If you want to seriously intimidate your opponent (and probably overbalance the gaming table) you could go for:

- Head Coach: CD Lord on Taurus.

- Wizard: CD Sorcerer Lord on Lammasu.

Cheers

those models are great, but a little expensive...

I'll try to buy the best models, but I insist with the BC as a big guy.

Thanks again

Headcoach (Warhammer CD Hero):

Apothecary (Warhammer Earthshaker Crew)

Zzargh (Warhammer CD Blunderbuss)

Check my Chaos Dwarf gallery, it has lots of pictures for the whole team (cheerleaders, etc.) Click on [www] then on the Chaos Dwarf icon.

For a Blocker position, i'd go for 0-2 Black Orcs, it fits the fluff.

you can only find them in the warhammer archive section of gw us. They both still have them, but they choose to ignore them on the web-site

edit: I checked and they don't have them in the archive section anymore :-( http://homepages.tesco.net/griffinpaint ... dwarfs.htm
