One rule we are considering in vegas to balance this out is making a handicap to affect the winning die roll (not final roll).. so if we decide say, every 150k = +1, the lower team would add that to the d6 roll, but still max out at six.. so the lower teams won't ever make more money than they *could* but won't get stuck winning 10k playing a heavily favored team.
We play a persistant leage and want to avoid experienced teams being avoided, but we don't want new teams to develop crazy fast either.

I actually have math showing that if you expect at least 3 drives per game and no more than one death/SI per two matches, and you expect to be facing other rookie teams with FF 0 or 1, one FF point is actually quite a lot better than 10k banked. But that one FF is the point of diminishing returns.

The big disagreement our league has with the new Fan Factor system is that you can't increase your FF is you lose the game. Considering the nature of the game, it's silly to think that if you lose the game but kill/injure x number of players on your opponents team you won't garner a few more fans through sheer bloodlust. Fans are fickle creatures, they can love you when you lose and hate you even when you win.For this reason we use the old post match method for FF, albeit with a cap, to tie in with the new systems max possible FF of 18.

We agreed with that sentiment, and also that your FF couldn't go down if you won (keep winning = not enough deaths for the fans to enjoy).hachidan wrote:The big disagreement our league has with the new Fan Factor system is that you can't increase your FF is you lose the game.
So we amended the FF roll:
If you lost, we added - "a double 6 means your FF actually goes up (even if your FF is above 12)"
If you won, we added - "a double 1 (on any 2 of the 3 dice) actually means your FF goes down".
