That sounds great! There is so much potential for fun in spin offs like this. Thanks for bringing these kind of ideas to my mind!

Re: Rat Ogre Bowl
We tried this last night and it was hysterical. It's actually sad for everyone involved when someone manages to roll that 4+ move or gets the right blitz results in order to end the game. We got some people who had never played Blood Bowl before into the game, who are thinking of getting a team now, so it was very successful.
One thing I would add, though, is ban fouling. There was a bit of 'oh I can't blitz anything so I might as well try the move and foul in order to hurt something', and for sendings off we just used the same rules for KOs and surfs.

Re: Rat Ogre Bowl
Actually, I discovered RatOgreBowl years ago (how and where is a secret )
After that, I fell so in love with the game and I spread it around that in Italy has become a usual interlude in between tournament rounds or at the end of tournaments itself.
We still play following the original rules, and we added some minor changes; most of all, we create a proper RatogreBowl pitch, the main difference from the BB one being that it's "square".
Woody, Del, I'll send you an email soon

Re: Rat Ogre Bowl
Just written up a version of the rules combining a couple of posts from above. Anyone have a selection of rat ogres and could do a pic to go with it?

Re: Rat Ogre Bowl
Cool. First impression of the write up after a quick read is that there a some differences to how we originally played it. I will try to find time to read your article properly and report back.

Re: Rat Ogre Bowl
In-universe, this sounds like halftime entertainment! Sort of a bloodier, messier, dumber version of the peewee half-rink hockey games they put on between periods at ice hockey games.
Will have to try this at some point, possibly with good-quality drink involved.
