Using 2d8s for AV and injury rolls

Post by adhansa »

This is the idea
Purpose: just wanted to count on it to see the rusult/to give lowAV players a little boost, i think theese players become worse and worse the more damageskills appear.

You use 2d8 instead of 2d6 on Av and injury rolls.
To compensate all AV values are increased by 2 (or you deduct 2 from the roll)
New injury tabel
0-10 Stunned
11-12 Ko'd
13-16 Cas

The math (on noskills and MB so far)
With 2d6 (as before)
Noskills
AV Stunned KO Cas Break AV
Av9 9,7% 4,2% 2,8% 16,7%
AV8 16,2% 6,9% 4,6% 27,8%
AV7 24,3% 10,4% 6,9% 41,7%
AV6 34,0% 14,6% 9,7% 58,3%

MB
Av9 13,4% 7,9% 6,5% 27,8%
AV8 19,7% 12,0% 10,0% 41,7%
AV7 27,1% 16,9% 14,4% 58,3%
AV6 32,4% 21,3% 18,5% 72,2%

With 2d8 (the test)
No skills
Noskills Stunned KO Cas Break AV
Av9 15,7% 4,0% 3,7% 23,4%
AV8 22,0% 5,6% 5,1% 32,8%
AV7 29,4% 7,5% 6,8% 43,8%
AV6 37,8% 9,7% 8,8% 56,3%

MB
Av9 19,5% 6,4% 7,0% 32,8%
AV8 25,8% 8,5% 9,4% 43,8%
AV7 33,0% 11,0% 12,2% 56,3%
AV6 39,0% 13,3% 14,9% 67,2%

Differance
Noskills Stunned KO Cas Break AV
Av9 6,0% -0,1% 0,9% 6,8%
AV8 5,8% -1,3% 0,5% 5,0%
AV7 5,1% -2,9% -0,1% 2,1%
AV6 3,8% -4,9% -0,9% -2,1%

MB
Av9 6,1% -1,5% 0,5% 5,0%
AV8 6,1% -3,4% -0,6% 2,1%
AV7 5,9% -5,9% -2,1% -2,1%
AV6 6,6% -8,0% -3,6% -5,0%

Conclusion:
AV will be broken more often, especially on high AV Players, but with a modified injury table it will mostly just lead to stunned.
When players start gaining damage skills, players with low injuries will suffer less KO and cases.

Thats how far the thought process has gone so far, no deeper conclusion made.
