Onside Kicks

Post by kgrroth »

Hey All,

I have been mulling around the idea of incorporating a house rule to allow onside kicks to give a trailing team a shot at the big comeback. I was wondering if anyone has tried experimenting with any house rules along those lines before and what their ideas were.

1) give a player kick.
2) Place the ball three squares from the halfway line.
3) pray.
4) If you get a Blitz all the better.

In short, they're already there, why do you need more?

Thads is quite right.

One other idea, which is probably awful is to allow kick off return so a single defensive player can move 3 squares too - including into the opposition half ;)

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured too, just wasn't sure if anyone had tried anything different, I like discovering quirky house rules just to try new things. The KOR idea is pretty interesting...sort of like putting the "hands" team up there.

Thanks for the feedback,

Suddenly, Kick Off Return becomes part of the clawbomb combo ;).
