New handicap tables?

Post by trog »

Does anyone have any new ideas on making a handicap table that is more balanced and would be more beneficial?

Thanks in advance.

i would say take some of the intermediate-powered special play cards, and make a d-66 table out of them. Don't use any of the lame ones, and don't use any of the ultra-powerful ones. More random events and dirty tricks than magic items most likely.

if i tell you much more, i'm making the list myself, and i don't really want to do that since it will probably never become official anyway, so why waste the time?

Milo posted a link to one he's making. Do a search and you'll probably find it, and loads more ideas.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

The TBBF came up with a modified Handicap chart based onthe current one, we just made some of the "week" ones a bit stronger, or effective.

For example: Instead of +1 fan factor for the game it is permanent.

The boy's got talent: It can be a position player beyond your limits.

Make mine a Blood: Upped it to 20K

A few tweeks like that here and there and suddenly the handicap list can actually make a difference, as I agree that there are quite a few on there which simply are too week to make any difference. :smoking:

Even the Goblin coach gets a +1 to injury rolls! Ow!

I'm pretty sure this is legal already - so you can have 3 War Dancers for example. :puke:

Make Mine a Blood!

Post by DesTroy »

This doesn't really mean much, but our league allows Handicap result of "Bloodweiser Sponsorship" to mean ANY ad campaign or slogan, so long as it's funny! After all, I'm sure we have all come up with suitably-altered commercial jingles, slogans, etc in a Blood Bowl context. Some examples from our league:

FRAUD Ox-Carts (ie Ford cars): "Have you spotted a Fraud lately?"
BURGER DICTATOR: Home of the Whipper: "We Beat You Right!"
3M (Mangling, Murder & Mayhem) Post-Up Notes: Hammer and Nails not included

Of course, the creative force that is the BB coaching community can probably come up with better ones...
