Trouble winning with Elves ... here's your solution

For those that never visit bloodbowl.com which houses a lot of newer players ... I had to post this idea from there over here just so you could see what happens when a league commish runs amok:

The poster said his local league had this house rule and wanted to know what folks thought about it:

House Rules -
Dodge Rule: Players must dodge not only out of a tackle zone but also into a tacklezone unless they declare a blitz action. Normal dodge modifiers apply (ie moving into a TZ gets a -1 penalty for dodging into a TZ).

Tackle Zone Assist Rule: If two players, each from different teams, are standing next to each other then neither player's tacklezone is active. This means that another player, from either team, can move in or out of their opponents tackle zone without having to dodge. If one team has a majority of players in the group then these extra players have active tackle zones.

The league commish is a Wood Elf player ... anyone surprised?

i am a woodelf coach,
but he is thinking that this rule gives him a lot of power, but this is the better way to see Black orcs 'not dodging' and blitzing into a cage.
This all thing is crap imho...

This is the part I don't get at all and if I cared ... I would have asked about

Code: Select all

X.
.O
X.
.O
X.

Code: Select all

XO.
OX.
.X.[code]

I'm assuming from his description that both of these qualify as 3 on 2 "groups" ... but how you figure out which X has a TZ .. I have no clue.

Actually, it sounds like it might be an attempt to get a "ruck" from rugby going. Not that I'm planning to adopt it in "my" legue.
