Ah the joys of alienating yourself from all those on a chat site based upon an issue that you feel strongly about. Basically Toby it comes down to the fact that most of us play Blood Bowl because we get to collect miniatures, paint miniatures and socialise. The thing that keeps most of us playing Blood Bowl is that it is a great game.
When it comes down to it Blood Bowl is as much a visual thing that you as a player creates as it is a social idea.
Online gaming loses both the human contact and the hobby.

I understand that point perfectly.
Now, you have a "group" of people to play with. Maybe because BB is more popular in your town, maybe because your town is bigger than mine, maybe because miniatures are a more common hobby in your country than in mine.

Now i ask you to understand that there are a lot of pople like me who
- like Blood Bowl but do not have people to play with.
- like gaming blood bowl but do not care about painting little objects at all
- have a limited amount of time and several hobbys (i rather play hockey than paint)

btw, i never said, "shut down the board game".
I said, an online version must be "100% compatible to the board game" so that people could even be able to import Board-Teams to the internet Game, and export Online-Teams to a team roster that enables them to play their team in a tabletop game.

Join the OLBBL, get a game whenever you want it.

Buy them prepainted on ebay, pay someone to paint them, give it a try yourself (it's really quite therapeutic) or, failing all that - Join the OLBBL

So I take it you would like to see BB merged with your PC gaming hobby to save you some hobby time. I have a solution for that. Join the OLBBL

SORTED!

Yeah, most existing online clients do that. Join the OLBBL.

And if you find that the existing crop of online BB clients aren't visually flash enough for you then I've got a couple more suggestions.

- Make some 3d models for the players or nick the ones from BB Alive.
- Learn to paint.

You can spend a whole lot of time waiting for the second coming (if it was released, and if it looked good, and if they managed to prevent cheating), or you can like the game as it is.

Hope to see you in the OLBBL Real Soon Now. You'd fit right in.

Time Gentlemen please...... (oh and Toby I am not referring to you there)

that is enough of that. Toby do not try and start this up again as it will be locked down again. This issue does not bear examination by you as you opinions do not handle rejection well.

Oh and as for Elite versus Mainstream, I come from Essex - How Mainstream do you want Guvner?
