Well. I have two off the top of my head that played for my Undead team "Dead Bunnies United."

Re: Your Favorite Player
I had a Wood Elf Wardancer named Belferost
He had more than 250SPP
MA8 - ST5 - AG5 - AV8 (so +2ST, +1AG, +1AV)
Mighty Blow, Dirty Player, Diving Tackle, Pro
He started primarily as designated hitman (+ST, MB and Dirty Player), but at the later stages of his career, he could do anything; interceptions, TDS, passing, you named it.
The Diving Tackle was how it worked in the old days, as a defensive manouver to keep enemies away.

One assumes they are using a house rule to allow the continuation of levelling and gain 2 skills more than the book allows....babass wrote:level9 ?

Re: Your Favorite Player
I haven't read the rule in a few years, but this player developed through the 3rd edition ruleset. Around 1997, I think. It was possible to have 7 skill upgrades then. As far as I rememberlunchmoney wrote:Brage97 wrote:I had a Wood Elf Wardancer named Belferost

Re: Your Favorite Player
My Khemri team's Thro-Ra, Vanilla Isis (All of the players on that team have lame pop music pun names).
He's not the star of the team, he probably ought to be fired, but I don't have the heart to do so, and that's enough to put him in this thread.
Vanilla Isis was the first player I bought after the team was founded (I started with the No Thro-Ra build). The team's very first game, I got lucky, rolled a 6 for winnings (plus FAME) and bought him immediately after game 1.
Game two, Vanilla's very first game, he gets sacked by a Wardancer, -MA. A Tomb Guard (Jimi Khemdrix) was also killed in that game, starting a long and inglorious tradition for my Khemri team, so I wasn't going to be able to afford to replace him for a while. Since "MV5 + Sure Hands" is a lot better than "No Sure Hands and one less player", I decided to keep him. Oh, and Vanilla was awarded the MVP.
Since Then, Vanilla has been nothing but clutch. He's a fearless linebacker on defense, a slow but selfless and enthusiastic helper on offense. By the time I bought my second Thro-Ra (Ol' Dirty Bastet, who would go on to become the star of the team), Vanilla had Block and Leader. The Leader reroll is helpful enough that I just can't bring myself to get rid of him. I keep thinking, he's only AV7 and a common target, at some point something will happen, but at least he can go out with glory on the field.
Meantime he has Fend and 48 SPP; One more TD and he gets a fourth skill, no idea what that will even be. He's not worth his salary and the power gamer move would be to just cut him. The missing Movement is insidiously bad, often I have to take extra go for its and it's needless risk on a team that can't afford risks. But every time I think about it, I see his grinning skull face, or he'll have a game where the extra Fend makes a difference, or he'll score a lucky TD on defense (with a go for it and no reroll) and I can't. He's the team captain and he stays on the field until he breaks.

Name: "Big Boss" Hannibal
Race: Chaos
Position: CW
Team: Raider Nation
Skills: +STR, +AG, +STR, Block, Dodge (5/5/5/9 - Block, Dodge)
Had a other STR 5 CW and can say that, blood bowl is just more fun when you 'short pass' from one STR5 player to another STR5 player on a 2+ (catch: 3+) and score a TD!
I Also had 3 AG5 gutter runners on a skaven team once - they where mighy good.

Block + Dodge, Tackle, Mighty Blow, Piling on, Jump up, Pro
...90 casualties in 60 games and survived so many fouling attempts...was cool.
