A few more of mine.

My table top Chaos are the "Tzeentchian Tzealots" and my FUMBBL Chaos the "All Sable Warriors", where all the players had the 'chaosified' names of All Blacks (such as Tana Umangla and Richie McClaw).

My FUMBBL Skaven were named "Resistance is Character Forming". They tended to suffer waves of serious injuries so there were frequent periods when their name was quite apt (with player numbers in single figures and most of the team's TR tied up in MNG Gutter Runners).

My Dark Elf team was the Slaaneshi inspired "Slippery When Wet".

My 'pro' Elf team are the Kill Bill inspired "Qualinin* Vypers" whose team strip is bright yellow with a black stripe down the leg and arm. (* And yes that is a vague approximation to "deadly" in Tolkien Elvish, or as close as I could get using the internet.) The players got named after species of viper; usually using the Latin names.

Ah well, nadgers to it. Some of my least crap 'efforts' (you should see the other ones  )...

Dwarfs - "New Moria Giants" Unlike the original Moria these guys were very rarely troubled by greenskins
Goblins - "Da Smarteez". Each gobbo a different colour. Head coach Mortik D'Ansa - cos "Only Smarteez Av D'Ansa!"
Undead - "Tombstone Cowboys".
Chaos Dwarfs - "Dave Vaders Raiders". Using that Heresy Model Dark Lord Va'Dur. Players include Dave Skywalker, Dave Solo, Dave 2D2 and Boba Dave. (Were to be called the "Kazzakakikak Underwear Theives")
Norse - "BishiBashi Dragons" (using Divine Wind minis)
Ogres - "Stampy's Stompers" (coached by the rules-redundant Ogre from the New Moria Giants (above), himself named after Bart Simpsons elephant)
Halflings (WIP) - "The Blockeroos". Painted in the colours of the Austrailian national football team, the 'Socceroos'.

we didn't have a whole ton of clever names in our league, (At least none I can remember, we havn't had a league in our town for a long time.)

But I had a couple names that I used for my teams that I liked.

Chaos - The Chaos Tornados (I dunno... I just like the sound of it.)

Chaos Dwarves - The Nibiru Nights. (Nibiru was the Mesopotamian God represented by the planet Jupiter.)

Wood Elf - The Deep Shadow Death Squad. (Actually named after a Magic:tg card "Elves of Deep Shadow." It fit, since they were a rather casualty-oriented team for Wood Elves.

Ok, since everybody else is doing it why can't I.

Drugstore Comboys, Darkside Desperados (guess the race).
Khemri Cardinals, Lost Ark Raiders, Red Sea Returners (guess again).

The names are all rubbish, you need the player names and background to see any fun in them.

Now, for the real challenge, guess the themes of the teams! Four out of five should be no problem, but who can nail all five???

Great thread.

Carnival of Carnage, Undead or Necro (stole that one from a roleplaying game)
Rivendell Renegades, Dark Elf
Rivendell Rangers, Wood Elf
Powers of Pain, any bashy team (stolen from my brother, named after an old wrestling tag team)

And another one for the germans, a Wood Elf team from Glorian Underhill, Bündnis 90 Die Grünen, with their Wardancer Jürgen Trittihn. Great stuff!

Hi all,
not the first time we do a thread on this - so plenty of inspiration is to be found in the archives.
Personally, when I started my mini collection (1 of each team) I tried to come up with a cool name for each race. Not 100% happy with all of them, but almost. The names are not supposed to be funny or NFL-spoofs, but more "serious".

Human: Emperor's Will
Orc: Bwoken Toof
Skaven: Vermintide
Dwarf: Deathwish (slayer team)
High Elf: Righteous Fury
Dark Elf: Wicked Desires

Wood Elf: Force of Nature (not exactly original - I know)
Chaos Dwarfs: Niggerdwarfs (sorry, not my name - tribute to a legendary team from our league)
Gobbos: Shinkickas
Halflings: Deadly Recipe
Undead: Vigour Mortis
Chaos: Animal Urges (beastman team)

Norse: Frostbite
Amazon: Ztar of the Tzar (kislev themed, using valkyrie minis)
Lizardmen: Al'Saurîm
Elf: Poetic Justice
Ogre: Omnivores
Nurgle: Lethal Infection
Khemri: Immortals (though I also like the punny Ex Men)
Vampire: Afterlife Unlimited
Necro: Meat Puppets

Slann: Spawn
Creepers: Wicked Alliance
Bretonnians: Force Majeur
Daemon: Eternal Pact
Tilea: Guilty Pleasures (white slavery theme)
Chaos Pact: Twisted Souls

....
long list. Hope you liked it.
Cheers
Martin

Hey, I have a human team, and I am planning to convert up some of the awesome miniatures from reaper into a new human team ^_^.

The original team name for the human's I had was frontier cowboys,
The new team name is probably going to be team dynasty (paintball anyone XD)
If I ever play pro elves, definitly shadow frost or something along those lines.

Hi there

Skaven team called "The Grim Squeekers". All the players called Squeek...Reference to Terry Pratchet.

Dwarf Team called the "Anger Grinders".

Orc Team called "Geared up to Grind youse too"

Halfling team called "The Apple Turnovers"...So called because an Apple turnover is my favourite cake from a delicatesent in England (Gregs). And even with a ton of re-rolls I always turnover...
