BB mag 4 & Vampires

Post by Redfang »

Since some of you already have their copies of BBMag 4 , and I still have to wait for at least one month before my copy arrives at the store I ordered it at, Could one of you please tell me what the new Vampires will look at
Still 6 4 4 8?
What happened to Off for a Bite?
Are they any good (background wise)?
Or are they just crap like the other two new undead teams?

That's what I'm really anxious to know...

1 vampire lord 150k 6 5 4 8 Regenerate, hypnotic gaze
0-6 vampires 110k 6 4 4 8 regenerate, hypnotic gaze, off for a bite
0-12 thralls 40k 6 3 3 7
re-rolls 70k

All i can say is that this has done nothing to address the problem that if the vampires make the off for a bite roll they have a distinct advantage, if they fail, the opposite.

At least it states that new mini's are slated for the future

Sheesh.. So these are the "official" vampires?

Guess I'll have to add them to the FUMBBL Division X then...

Maybe not McDeth

1 Vampire lord 150
2 Vampires 220
9 Thralls 360
9 ff 90
2 rerolls 140

U should still end up with 11 on the field at the start and 2 of them ag 4 and min of st 4. It also leaves 40k to save up for your next vampire (im assuming they still cant use apoths).

Think i'd be tempted to go with the line up you suggested but 3 re-rolls and a FF of 6 leaving no money in the bank. try and develop some of those thralls, while waiting for the money for the next vamp.

Apothecary can be hired but only used on the thralls

By waiting I would have the entire rules in my hands I find this team a little bit too overpowered :( !!!

EDIT: I mean, IMO, it's something like i the GHouls in the Undeads team should have apothicary help !

DFC: I agree with your point about Ghouls and aphotecaries.

Although I do not have the BB Magazine No 4 ... can anyone tell me what is really new about this Vamoires ? Maybe it's just me, but the concept mentioned here does not seem new at all.

And I do intentionally not start to bring up the balance aspect of this team, because such an argument would be pointless.

If this is really the Vampire team of the BB Mag No 4 I have to say that I am very disapointed .... :(

I believe that Off For a Bite is a straight 50/50 chance of making each drive, however if you fail your automatically available for the next drive.

Thralls can use an apoth, but Vamps can't.

The Lord is also the head coach.

If the Lord is killed a normal vamp gets promoted in his place. If there are no vamps available then the team disbands.

To be honest i have a problem with the fact that a team apothecary can heal some members of the team but not others.

If he can heal a troll with regenerate, then why not a vampire.

Obviously some special undead trait where an apothecary cant effect undead injuries

So they can hire Thralls but no Skeleton or Zombie : seems strange to me.

McDeath: I think it's important to be consequent with undead an the use of aphotecaries. Basically Vampires are undead as mummies are undead. So both can't use aphotecaries.

My opinion is that undead should not have aphotecaries. The reason why they have regeration lies in the fact, that their Headcoach puts them together again.

Ahah

So there's not a lot of change then, except that the Vampire Lord is toned down a bit. No longer a block and Dodge at the beginning. That's a pity.

How about acces to skills, and do they now get a skill when everybody else does or are they still slow learners?
