Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I like that you think of young'uns as objects and not people (what vs who). I'm the same.

I played a kid at the GenCon bowl in either '05 or '07 (can't remember which one, but I think '05), he must've been 10. I remember late in the second half he was out of rerolls, rolled a skull on a block and said, "that didn't count", and wanted to reroll it.
Gotta love kids (I believe he was the same kid who played Snew the year before and called him on IP even though Snew was letting it go all game). :D
I think that if the game box says 14 and older, then that should be the minimum age allowed at competitive tourneys (private leagues and tourneys do what you want). :P

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

I don't know. That kid has played in a lot of tournaments since then, and is now a very good coach and a very good sport. Along the same lines, we have a couple of kids that play in our local tournaments, and they're probably our most polite competitors. I don't know why Blood Bowl is any less suited for socialization than any other hobby a kid might engage in, assuming they're chaperoned by an adult. If anything, BB needs more young players ASAP.

Totally agree, the average age of tournament bloodbowl players seems to be getting older every year. I may be crazy but that doesn't seem like a good thing for the long term.
