block dice

Post by bound for glory »

i own 63 block dice.
why the hell does BFG have 63 block dice?
i have that many because i'm the league commish of The Thursday Night Heros, and many of the heros(not to be confused with"an hero") don't have block dice. in fact, i would have had 21 more block dice, but i sold 21 to a canadian member here on TFF.

how many block dice do you own? why?

I have two sets of the original GW dice (although one set is missing somewhere in my attic), two sets of NAF block dice (yellow and silver), one black, one bone-colored, one set of the australia dice, and one set of the green wood elf dice that I don't use. So 8 sets, 24 dice total, but I only usually use about half of that in any given game.

I need multiple sets because I like to give my dice a rest between rolls. If they get tired, they start coming up skulls. I also like using dice from different sets when I roll 2 or 3. Different dice ought to roll different results, and at least one of those ought to be good.
For the same reason, I use two different colored dice when I roll 2d6, especially when fouling.

41 sets of block dice, plus some odds and sods that probably make another 2 sets. [Edit - forgot the sets in my BB bag make that 44 sets]

Why? Because I like dice, and sometimes it's just to show support to a fellow tournament organiser (Pornbowl for example) or BB community (8 sets of the Aussie dice).
But mainly because I like dice.

Wish I had more, though...
Dunno why.

One set of silver on black Impact dice that have the symbols and numbers.... Almost NEVER make mistakes in rolling dice....

Nothing else needed, though I don't disagree with collectors....

It's a nice dice display, but that 1 red die annoys me (so much so that I can ignore that extra one top right lol)

Think I have 6 or 7 sets, all NAF ones. I don't really like the 'non official' ones

I really really don't like the new wave of dice on ebay that have copied the GW ones exactly.

I have sets of the white GW dice, the Red, Orange, Yellow, Light Green, Dark Green, Light Blue, Dark Blue and Silver GW/NAF dice, and a set of Red, White and Blue dice that were made for some edition of the Dutch Open an number of years ago. So 10 sets in total.

I also have one extra each of the Red and Dark Blue GW/NAf dice; I'm certain to whom they originally belonged (and would give them back already), but this person insists it isn't so, so yeah ... :?:

I've not got any new block dice since then, but have acquired new D6s and tokens.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
