That job ad tells us nothing.

The Brand Manager's job could be to figure out how to re-release the game in a way that brings new players in, but doesn't alienate the existing player base. Or it could be to completely re-design the game from the ground up.

We just don't know which is more likely based on the advert.

Au contraire. It tells us that everything is on the table, but which way it goes depends on who they hire.

Which is the point of me posting it in the first place. It'd be awfully nice if a good guy (tm) got it.

But wouldn't it just be ironic if the game has survived being neglected by GW for so long, only to be killed off by GWs new found interest... :o

including reimagining some of the old favourites
I like the word reimage, sounds like a marketing term, hopefully they wont need to change too much to sell it to the masses...

Didn't some want change? There, careful what you wish for.

I prefer improvement or no change if already pretty good. Because worsening is also change, but that seems too hard to understand for the "rah rah change rah rah" people.

If what happens to BloodBowl is similar to what happened to Warhammer Fantasy i think it won't be something everyone will be able to deal with.

By all means bring new players into the game but I hope nobody will be lost along the way.

I'd love to see a rewrite of the rules. No changes to the rules per se, but better organization with referencing and a glossary.

Yeah, integrate the FAQs, clarify things like 1 and 6 being auto for everything, maybe differentiate actions from action contents (Move action becomes Run action, which lets you move, Block action becomes Contact action which lets you block, and Blitz lets you move and block, etc). Keep the mechanics, improve the presentation.

If we don't like the new BB rules.....we don't have to use them. The game has lasted for 10 years without input form GW. I don't understand why people feel they HAVE to use the new rule set

I'd like to see a simplified one off game style ruleset in the box, with a full Icepelt rulebook as a codex style extra purchase.

That would be "reimaging". "Reimagining" means to imagine again. That sounds more like redesigning to me.
