The team was released, it's the one I painted that everyone calls the 5th edition team:

So yeah, Mark Bedford sculpt, not from a trainee at all.
Did he say how it came to be one sale (for how ever long) by a non-GW party? Was it something GW turned down, or something he did in his own tiime?

Ah right sorry, misread your post and thought there was some mystical old team that had never seen the light of day.

I know a few unreleased things were sold on in limited quantities. Tom would be the person to ask I think.

The "new" Stars:

Rasta Tailspike - Skaven Catcher - 110k
8/3/3/7 Loner, Catch, Extra Arms
Plays for: Skaven

Frank N. Stein - Undead Blocker - 160k
4/5/1/9 Loner, Break Tackle, Mighty Blow, Regeneration, Stand Firm, Thick Skull
Plays for: Human, Necromantic, Undead

Bilerot Vomitflesh - CHaos Lineman - 140k
4/5/2/9 Loner, Dirty Player, Disturbing Presence, Foul Appearance
Plays for: Chaos, Nurgle

At first glance, I'd allow Rasta in the ARBBL tournament, but Frank and Bilerot look a little cheap?

By the looks of it Eldril swapped Pass Block for Pass and Block.

Using the formula we used for the CRP Star

Rasta (Lineman 50k) + (+1 MA 40k) + (Catch on AG 3 10k) + (Extra Arms 20k) = 120k
Frank N. Stein (Undead Mummy 120k) + (+1 MA 40k) + (Break Tackle 20k) + (Stand Firm 20k) + (Thick Skull 10k) = 210k
Bilerot Vomitflesh (Black Orc Blocker 80k) + (+1 ST 60k) + (Dirty Player 10k) + (Disturbing Presence 10k) + (Foul Appearance 20k) = 180k

Heck if they had just followed the guildelines from the rulebook without knowing anything about the formula you'd get:
Rasta = 120k (50k+30k+20k+20k)
Frank N. Stein = 210k (120k+30k+20k+20k+20k)
Bilerot Vomitflesh = 190k (80k+50k+20k+20k+20k)

So yeah ... Rasta is probably okay ... Frank and Bilerot are way underpriced. Which makes no sense because the formula for determining the cost of a player is in the rulebook.

Good catch, missed that. I hadn't bothered to compare the 3 "in CRP" Stars, as I (wrongly) assumed they hadn't changed.

Though of course, these could easily have not been touched and/or vetted by the Blood Bowl team, and just been produced by the events team.

I assume this is just a glitch by someone. Block, obviously, makes him a ton better.

It looks like they reorganized the skills (CRP has Loner then the rest in alphabetic order), and from one half useful they created two good skills.

I have doubles of all those 2nd ed star players. PM me.

Are people really all excited about GW selling these 6 again? Mean to say, they are very common on ebay. And Monnys has them, I believe...I'm very surprised people are acting like this is a big deal.

Not at all hard to find.

Exactly what I had thought, BFG, but all the excitement had left me thinking I was wrong on this. Perhaps it's the price that's so good?

20 pounds is a pretty low price for 6 GW minis isn't it?

How much were they selling for from GW before all the BB minis were taken off the online store?

At least £5 each, and that's without taking 5+years of GW price rises into account.
And sure, I could buy them on eBay etc, but I've seen them go for£ 10+ each, so £20 for 6 sounds like a bargain.
