monstrous mouth skill
I like it. Seems like a star player skill. Or one more those skills you could win in an league.

Re: monstrous mouth skill
It's worded the same with the Catch skill in the CRP:
Is this another "skill" inspired by the models?
The addition of anti Strip Ball is new (for this skill, obviously it isnt "new" as Sure Hands does the same job).Catch (Agility)
A player who has the Catch skill is allowed to re-roll the D6 if he fails a
catch roll. It also allows the player to re-roll the D6 if he drops a hand-off
or fails to make an interception.
Is this another "skill" inspired by the models?

Re: monstrous mouth skill
Not only inspired but pretty much just for the model, so far I have only seen it attached to the Nurgle Star and as it is "Extraordinary" he will be the only one with it (unless house rules allow choice of Extraordinary for example)

Re: monstrous mouth skill
According to CRP, a Hand-off and a Pass are two different actions described in two different sections od the rulebook.
Also, passing is in the basic rules while handing-off is in the extra rules section.
That might be a reason why they had both occasions described in the new rules.
What concerns me more is the existence of this skill.
Since it's an extraordinary skill, there must be some kind of player who has it as a start skill because you can never gain extraordinary skills.
And I'm really curious, what kind of creature in what kind of team list has it.
The only kind of player that comes to my mind would be a werewolf, or we can assume that they have done something to more team lists than just the human catcher...
And isn't it simply the catch and sure hands skill combined into one, making it completely obsolete anyway?
I somehow don't feel very happy about it yet. Tomorrow, my game and DZ1 will be here, then I'll know more...

Not quite, it doesn't give the re-roll on Pick-Up that Sure Hands does.Regash wrote:And isn't it simply the catch and sure hands skill combined into one, making it completely obsolete anyway?

Guffle Pusmaw’s cost should be 210,000gp, not 110,000gp

Re: monstrous mouth skill
Not quite sure how to price Guffle as he doesn't seem to be based on any of Nurgle's positionals and I can't find Galak's Star Player formula for CRP anyways. Even so, ball-parking it using the pricing for creating a team would put him around 150k I reckon. 210k does seem quite high.

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=34841&p=614655#p614655 though you might need to juggle the figures a little for the Mouth skill.Vanguard wrote:Not quite sure how to price Guffle as he doesn't seem to be based on any of Nurgle's positionals and I can't find Galak's Star Player formula for CRP anyways. Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
