Monthly Poll: To Blitz or No

Post by faust_33 »

Been a busy month, eh? We're almost halfway through August and I'm just now throwing out a monthly poll. This should be an easy one though.

Are you buying Blitz Bowl?

Last month we had a poll on the Dark Elf lineup. A quick and dirty tally of the numbers shows that some people will take a Witch Elf, even fewer will take 2. Not surprisingly, the Blitzers are the most popular. Most will take 3 Blitzers, and 4 is still pretty popular. Assassins, not very popular. A second Assassin? Feggedaboutit! Taking 1 Runner actually got a couple votes over the Witch Elf. 2nd Runner, not so popular.

More options needed!
- yes, if locally available
- no, because not locally available

Yep, I preordered a copy.

I think it will be a good way to scratch my BB itch with friends who are not normally interested in playing Blood Bowl.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Edit: Just investigated buying on Barnes and Noble. UK not an option for delivery country!

I’m a definite no. If I want a quick and/or intro game of Blood Bowl, I’ll play 7s.

Wow, that sucks. Being in the US, I'm usually the one with the expensive/not available issues. I can't imagine that it won't become available in the UK at some point. They really should have made it available through Amazon or something more international.

On the plus side for me, sounds like ForgeWorld will have a warehouse in the states sometime soon. I had hit buying from them, because of the costs plus shipping. Now I might change my mind.

Via @BothDown, on twitter:

Is anyone not in the US wanting Blitz Bowl?
I could probably pick some extra up and ship out.
Game is 50 including taxes.
Then shipping is probably 25 or so. Should be getting the game soon and could find exact costs upon request. Email if interested.

Yes - I've got two children who have teams but attention spans and bed times that prevent a 2 hour blood bowl game. I think this would be perfect for. I'll have to mock up some Amazon rules for my daughter though.

Also in our league we've been talking about options to help get more new players involved this might also do that trick.

I managed to order to the UK through B&N by using PayPal when they had an offer on but inport duty was expensive. I bought it to play with my son and at the club I run at my school.
