Valen,

There was a very big push by many players in the MBBL2 that the allies rules that we were using were NOT working. To many critical BIG games were being won with a lot of those victories being credited to the ally.

However, several other coaches wanted to still have allies for a little bit of flavor.

To appease both camps, we moved to lineman only allies. This had the unsual effect in my league that both sides of the fence agreed it was a good idea.

I know your league was going to start using the MBBL2 rules for a lot of stuff. My recommendation is that if you really like the one positional ally rule then use it. What didn't work for the MBBL2 may very much work for your league.

We have just started our new season, so it is too late to change it. I will see how it goes and have a look at it in the off season.
