Da Leeg - Independant Leagues Wanted

Post by funnyfingers »

http://www.stuntyleeg.com - OBBLM w/ leegmgr BOTOCS extension. LRB6 Experimental.

We have had close to 250 matches played using BOTOCS LRB5 +EXP. We are now looking to host independant leagues. A comissioner will oversee how the league is run and teams are not able to play teams from other leagues. Coaches may have teams in different leagues.

Please reply here with any questions and PM me if you are interested in running a league. The league can be table top, BOTOCS, or both.

FYI - We are up to 637 matches played. We don't have any independant table top leagues though:( No interest?

I have looked into it on Grums invitation, and made a couple of teams.

Perhaps a description of what the website is and how it works might be a good idea?

There's no pick up games though is there?

As far as I can see, you have to be in a league...

Ironjaw - Are you talking Table Top wise? If you are currently in a table top league you can create all the teams on the site, take the results from the games and populate the results into a form on the website. You then choose skills and such from the site. You also have a whole bunch of stats that you can look at and make suggestions for others to be added.

As far as automated, you can play games using the BOTOCS LRB5 + experimental client with teams you've created on the site. You then upload the zip file to submit your results.

What I mean is, you can't just go on to the site anytime, find someone who wants to play, and then play a one-off game (like FuMMBL)

no i mean the chat

either click on the javaclient link on the home page:
Proxy: proxy.stuntyleeg.com 8085
BOTOCS: download
IRC: irc.stuntyleeg.com JavaClient
or use an irc client and go to server: irc.stuntyleeg.com and join #daleeg

This is the sort of stuff that needed explaining if, like me, you've only got basic computer skills.

So I can use Hydra IRC to go on a BOTOCS chat room?

I'll try it tonight.

yes, or for idiots, you can just click on the link labelled "javaclient"

in hydrairc (which is horrible and you should use mirc) or any other irc client you connect to the server by:

/server irc.stuntyleeg.com

then join the chat by:

/join #daleeg

just like on fumbbl you would have gone to /server irc.fumbbl.com and /join #fumbbl, if you can get on fumbbl chat you can get on this one...

...in theory ;]

Yes this is definitely a free for all web site.

One thing we have been doing and I plan on making better is the random matches. If you make 5 teams you can ask people to play random matches against you. These are referred to a Pandora's Box matches.

Watched a game last night- it was good (although ridiculously 1-sided). Especially like the Big guy animations.

Will try and play a game tonight (whilst Liverpool are on)
