Traveller´s website got an update and some new stuff. :-)

Post by traveller »

I know.... not the right section to post, but [Edit - it is now - Darkson  ]most TFFs will not check the website section.

Ok... a major update for my website

http://www.blood-bowl-miniatures.de

Here some changes:
- I´m using now a flashscripted menu. I hope, this works for everybody now?!
- The 1th, 4th and 5th Edition got new pictures, which i took all new using my fancy Miniature-Photostudio with a blue background for better quality. I´m using now this new webgallery for all the new pictures, too. The new pictures of the 2th and 3th Edition will follow in the next weeks or months.
- I reorganised the Fantasy Football Miniatures section and add lot of pictures. I divided this section into the different Miniature companies. I got still more minis i have to add, but there are already lot of nice teams to see. For this section i will use mostly white primed miniatures pictures as i was ask for it for better reference viewing. My painted miniatures mostly will be at the Fantasy-Football-Project-section.
- Next section i want to reorganised will be the Collector stuff section. Especial the Tournament and Limited Edition miniatures. Quite a lot of picture taking and checking for informations will be necessary ;-)

Quite a bit work with camera, Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and Dreamweaver.
But i think it was worth it. Lot of fans and coaches of Blood Bowl worldwide are using my website now
(at the last count there were visitors of 71 different countries - Jamaika was the last ! :D )
and i got a lot of friendly and useful feedback for my work.

Thanks for this to all out there !

I hope, everything will work now... some mistakes i saw already i will try to undo the next days.

ah, btw, RollJordans Ratmen are on show now, too. :-)

Looks good. Thank you for your site and the time you put into it. I have been using it for at least the last 5 years and it is invaluable.

I love your site when I'm sitting at my PC but now that I'm doing a lot of browsing with my iPad it's barely functional. I have to use the site map to look around.

Also, do you have a donate button set up? I'd like to show my appreciation for your hard work.

Not for fruity lovers. And in some years, everybody will be like them if they news are to be trusted. Also, linking to an exact model becomes impossible or at least hard (impossible if you have to tell non net savvy people about it assuming it would be possible) with the new galleries. Sorry to bring bad news.

Edit: ninjaed, now the fruit reference is obvious.

Sorry to bring bad news.
No problem...

I have to confess, i didnt think about that linking to a single mini
I thought, browsing through this kind of gallery with different options
to view the pics is more comfortable now. And it gives me the possibility
to add additional information to the single mini like i did for the 5.ed Stars.

But it should be not to difficult for people reaching my website
to navigate to the right miniature if the know what they are looking for...
like 2.ed/ orcs/ thrower... should be OK. If not, they hopefully have fun
browsing through all the nice other minis.
Well, linking directly to a mini pict... that is a different story.
browsing with my iPad
Hm, i never thought about that as i dont own a ipad and never tested it. Sorry.
use the site map
Argh... this part i forgot to update. I hope, i can do it this week.
donate button
One reason TBB as domain was closed was because of this. I dont want to give GW this chance to closed my website, too.
I dont "earn" any money with this website, just spending it for a kind of advertisment for GW...
The only "payment" i sometimes get is a friendly feedback and a limited mini from a tournament i never would
have the chance to visit. :D But thx for the nice idea!

Congrats for the update, and for the blue background new pics!
The contrast is very helpful.

Cheers,
A.

Fantastic update. Your webpage is a reference for all Bloodbowl players.

Thank you personally for including GreenDog Figurines stuff. I know you include everything, but I'm always glad to see my sculpts going around. They look awesome in these pics. :D

Thank you personally
:D

I just visited your website and saw at the catalog, that i got both
sold out Ulwerners, too, still sitting in my showcase. I will add them
tonight, too, into "your" page.

Later those minis will be also in the LE and Collectorstuff section.

Cool.

Probably I will have more free time in January, I plan to inventory all my models to provide you as much accurate info as possible about GDF range. As said, I think your website is the main reference for trades and collectors so I think we should help you to get it as complete as possible. The only pity is that probably I couldn't reproduce the high level of your pictures :orc:

Great update to the site, is it a list of your collection or of available figures?

What I don't see on there at all is a really good dark elf team :)

Its more my private collection. And i still have to add some stuff...

But after viewing the miniatures at the Fantasy Football Section at my website as
an "limited" overview, it should be easy to check later at the miniatures companies or
onlinestore websites, if the miniature is still avaible.

Some minis are OOP p.e. like some of the Impact! Section.
The collector section stuff will be mostly not public available

True... i´m not a big Elf fan, dark or white. But i just got me Greebos Silvanias
Woodelfs as a Chrismas sale and those are looking nice.

Do you know about a nice Darkelf team?

Just tried it on IE on Windows XP here a job. Working fine, too.

Interesting, that on your PC the site loses the website logos
which i didnt touch on this update. Maybe something wrong
with the cache of websites at IE?

Sorry, i dont know what happend. Maybe someone else here
reading this could help?

Maybe my work firewall... Just tried on my iOS device and the site pulls up.... I just saw there was a link for "sitemap with direct links" that I had to click on in order to see anything.

Thanks and GREAT site!
