Mascots
Has anyone gone to the trouble of making a mascot for their team? I just went into my local store and they had just bought a bunch of used figs from the Hero Quest expansion Dark World. Theres a good sized manticore fig that I couldn't pass up for $1 and its screaming out "mascot" to me. Heres the best pic I could find (its an illustration from the box) :

I know its crazy. Has anyone else made a mascot for their team? I was just curious if I was the only one

I made a skeleton dog - I was just having fun messing about with plastic skeleton bits at the time and thought that I must be able to make something out of a broken horse. The idea of using it as a mascot came later.
Basically its a skeleton horse with the legs shortened and teeth added to a shortened head plus a spiked collar

Just a little note: Dark World had nothing to do with HeroQuest, and nothing to do with Games Workshop. I'm not even sure if Milton Bradley (Publisher of HeroQuest) published DarkWorld. Two very different games, one has nothing to do with the other.
I had DarkWorld. The game sucked, but there was a couple of good figures in it. The Manticore actually wasn't one of my favorites... that thing's ugly and looks like it wants a hug. The Haunter figure is cool though.

Three touchdowns in one game. I almost got the Al Bundy Trophy.

.... a squig for my Old 3.ed orc team, which i somewhere found as a nice little one with big teeth.
But i bought a couple of heresy hellhounds as dogs for my Orc coach. But it turned out, they are to large even for a Blackorc. So they willl be at the leash of my Ogre Coach... if i ever finish this project , too.

The squig is great for the greenskins. And now I have the two minis for the gobbos squig herders, which by the way rock. I can't wait to paint them up and have them as the official mascot herders. That giant trident and the bagpipes are just too funny

If it wasn't so expensive I would have bought the Mordheim bear as a mascot for my Karak-Grizdal Grizzlies...
Now they refuse to play well because I didn't...

I thought some of these guys would make good mascots or even turn markers for some teams (pixie for elves, etc.):
