Treemen

Post by BullBear »

Anyone know how the new BB treeman compares in size to the WHF treemen? I need two regular treeman and one larger for the Star Player. Don't know if I need two BB trees and one WFB or two WFB and one BB.

Thanks!

If you talking about the BB treeman 4.ed and the " BB unusual" Warhammer treemen #1 and #2 (as shown at my site...)

TP&P (= Travellers posting and pictures service ) can help...

I will take a group pict tonight or tomorrow.

I just picked up a pair of WHFB Dryads for my Halfling team. They're slightly bigger than a Black Orc Blocker, so they fit on the pitch a lot better than most trees. They're also cheap.

Perfect!
I have the treeman on the far right, and since he's bigger I'll need two BB trees.

Thanks again, Traveller!

Hmmm, 8$ and you get two decent "treeman" figs...

I kind of like the idea since I don't have a treeman yet and find them too expensive and they don't appear a lot on ebay...

Are you sure about the scale?
Significantly bigger than wood elves?

I went to the GW near the office (how convenient, even if they don't have BB stuff) and boughta blister too.

They're not big but they are recognisable enough and most of all they're cheap for figs I'll almost never play with...

Thanks tonythep!

My mate uses the LotR Treebeard figure as his Treeman. This one is so big (tall) that he had to saw off nearly an inch from each leg to get it even close to the other BB big guys. It works though as this is the only treeman GW produces now that doesn't look like complete crap! (When he falls down he replaces the mini with a dwarf on stilts (WFB) that always make you laugh  )

I'll see if I can snap a picture or two at my dryad conversion. As I see it, these better-than-treemen substitutes can be made even better by adding half an inch in height (using an old rubber plastic and green stuff), thus making them stand out from the wood elves. Keep an eye open here or at Thadrin's website!
