Mt first converted Skink BB Player....
So this is my first finished BB skink!
What d oyou reckon? How could I improve him?
Well any helpful comments will improve my next skink as I have 10 assembled and undercoated and waiting to be painted. I know my painting needs alot of improvement and so I am more interested with what people think of the conversion....

Better than the ones I took to CamCarn. Wish I'd had the time (and inclination) to make shoulder pads for my skinks

The pads look great. How did you make them? Some straps to hold them on would look good if you haven't already added some. It's hard to tell from the photos if you have or not. Other than that, you could add more pads to the knees or elbows, or some spikes tied to his tail. A helmet too, but I think that would be trickier.

The paintjob looks neat and clean, good work! I can only think of minor details, such as to give them lizards yellow eyes instead of red. I reserve red for greenskins (er... the other race that's green!) and daemons.

Cheers . Yes, it's a plastic skink with green stuff pads. The pads are 'based' on the pads from the Kroot sprue. Basically I used the Kroot pads as a rough template, then messed around with them with clippers once the green stuff had dried.Chairface wrote:That is one awesome skink! Is that one of the new plastic ones? Did you make the shoulder pad out of green stuff or is it from the Kroot boxed set? Either way, great job! Lets see some more soon.
So what do people think of his hands / arms? I have tried to avoid the -

even at work ( and i have a real good conection here ) it tooks a while to load the pict...
Just a thought...if you convert some more lizzies, maybe for the Sauri add some spikes on the pads. Maybe not good for the Skinks, but for the bigger brothers quite nice IMO.
And, as stu wrote already, knee or elbow pads are quite easy to build and help a lot for bb style

Thanks .
As I type I am 'batch painting' the othe nine skinks and waiting for the green stuff to dry on my first proto-type Saurus. I will post some some pics as soon as I have got someone else finished.

Does this answer your question, l_dauguet ??dwarfcoach wrote:Cheers . Yes, it's a plastic skink with green stuff pads. The pads are 'based' on the pads from the Kroot sprue.
