My New D.Elf team colours

Post by NightDragon »

Thaks to Kool I've been inspired to create a new team. However I still want to keep the traditional purple of my old guard. But what colours go best with this? What do you think. I need advice on armour, chainmail, leather etc.

Gold always goes well with purple, or go with a deep yellow.

Purple, black and gold go very well together.

My dark elves are primarily black, with purple gloves and trim and silver as a third color for trim.

I am doing mine in black/dark red , with a brassy finish on the mail and helmets... and of course the burnished bone!

What colour purple do you use? I have always used the Liche purple but I think this is too dark.

Black, Silver and Liche Purple, with the odd deatil in gold. The Liche purlple isn't so dark, especially when you mix in a little white for the highlights

I used GW's Liche Purple and Partha's Blood Red as the primary colours when I painted my team back in '95.

Supporting colours are GW's Golden Yellow, Deadly Nightshade, Ruby Red and Boltgun Metal.
