... i won a nice auction with a lot of 15 old 40k Pirates orcs, which arrived today. I think, there was a post about those minis or one of them shortly before ?

But,after seeing those minis now on close up, i cant convert them into Orc fans as i planed it before. I will strip them, and ... sometimes... paint them a pirate crew.

For the Street Bowl orc team i will convert the plastic Stikk bombers orcs. The bases are ready already

Those pirate minis are just to nice to cut for conversions. I got all the plastic arms and the weapons for them, too.

Seems, i will start a collection of orcs now ... checking my drawers i "found" about 20 old 1987 40k orcs.:D

Make a BB at Sea team out of them (and then a BB at Sea pitch and dugouts ;) ).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Code: Select all

Yep, KLK, you are right... but it would be a lot of work to remove all 40k stuff on this minis... all the grenades, anmunition belts,... :o

Hm, but those minis could be good templates for homemade sculpted pirate orcs

yes, thats true... i´m always surprised what i find in my drawers. But its a horror if you are searching for a special single mini, from which you know you own it, but dont knew , where to find ...

Yes, on the pict... but i wrote also:

I removed all arms because i paint strip the minis... with the plastic arms on it would be quite a mess.

If you like pirates, check the gobbos pirates from rackham :

There is also weapons to remove, but it's already fantasy, not futurist.
