Thanks very much! trolls wise, the purple troll is a mix of a second generation skaven ogre and a chaos demon prince (cutting the head and right arm off the ogre) the green troll is a gift from a mate so not sure where the model is from but the head is a 40k grot. Faces were a white elf flesh (can't remember the name of the paint but it begins with a p) washed with black, repainted with the same elf white then highlights with skull white

Finished the Amazons!

I appreciate that not everyone likes the winged-helmets-and-cloaks look. But I like that it gives this team a distinctive character; I also prefer this look to some of the more "revealingly dressed" sculpts that some people use. I don't want to feel uncomfortable showing a team of mine to my wife ... or my mom ... or my niece.

And the cloaks are only on the Blitzers, who are supposed to be distinctive:

Those amazons are really nice!

But they are so boring. Mean to say, they all look the same. I generally like the Black Scorpion teams,. I have most of them. But it just seems like the team over there at Black Scorpion just does'nt put much interest in their fantasy football figutres.

Thats sad, because they make awesome figures otherwise.

Again, your work is very good. :D

Thanks! They were a lot of fun to paint.

I definitely understand what you mean about the lack of variety in poses. There's "Standing and pointing", "Standing and holding up fist", "Standing with hands on hips". The Catchers are more dynamic and, maybe because of that, my favorite models in the series.
And I agree, this seems to generally be an issue with Black Scorpion teams. Their Orcs, I think, are the worst example:
Image
Each individual figure there looks fine, but they all have the same pose and you can't tell the positions apart.

But the Amazons, somehow, work for me. It helps that each position is distinctive, but I think that the similar-but-not-identical poses gives the team a unified identity. Whatever those Orcs have "too much of", I feel like the Amazons get "just about right" for me. If that makes sense, I'm probably explaining this badly. I'm just happy they're not doing handstands or cartwheels.

I played a "one off" game with a friend, and I used those orcs. :D

My friend kept saying "what is that" and pointing at my orcs(I don't use colored rings on the bases).

That was a fun night.

Also, I don't understand why Black Scorpion only gives 11 players while almost every company give 12 figures on the teams.

Thats kinda cheep s hit.

You seem to forget you can get pretty much a 16 man roster for ~£30 ... I'd say it was still pretty good value

Yeah, as it was already mentioned, they're far less than half price of all the expensive metal teams, so actually not a cheap shot. But perhaps not the best boxing strategy, I'd agree.

As far as I can remember, the 11 player team deals consist of all available positionals.
Then there is an additional pack of linemen.
And, of course, the Big Guy where available.

When I bought my dwarves from there, I was very pleased, I just didn't like the fact that the Slayers were completely naked.
And then there was this awesome dwarf team on Indiegogo, so I sold 'em.

The Amazon team set has 2 Blitzers, 2 Catchers, 1 Thrower, 6 Linewomen, for which I paid €29.90. I had to buy an additional set of 2 Blitzers (€6.90), an extra Thrower (€5.50), and one pack of 4 Linos (€11.50). If I'd intended to use them as an alternate Human team, I would have gotten another pack of Catchers as well, plus an Ogre. So they're not as inexpensive as they look at first glance, but still quite competitive. Works out to almost exactly 3€ per model. And honestly, I could have probably gotten away with not buying the extra thrower, but who knows what I'll end up with in a league?
