@mikeyc: Nice work, I like the name and the paints. The green came out pretty nice. I originally painted my rats black and pink. Not sure if I will go the same color scheme when I get around to them this time. The Skaven pitch has all that green goo. Maybe I'll go black and yellow this time.

thanks! the name and color scheme (an obvious play on philadelphia eagles) was actually picked before the new skaven miniatures were released. i was originally going to use the name and color scheme for a team of 3rd ed skaven minis i had lying around, but these were released before i got the 3rd ed minis on the painting table. i figured i might as well use it with the new team. maybe i'll eventually get around to painting up the 3rd ed skaven team one of these days. i'll probably keep the color scheme for those minis.

Full details and a bit of rambling on my log post but, in a nutshell, the WQ:ST stuff is being speed-painted. Hate painting plastics, these minis are (nevertheless) awesome and I want to play with painted minis. So there.

Cheers!

So, after quite a while of not even looking at brushes and paintpots, I decided I'd now paint some guys that I'd need in team that already were done.
Now behold the results of my limited painting skills and weakening old eyes!

Chaos Team Minotaur

I always used Grashnak Blackhoofs miniature as Minotaur in my Chaos Team. Back then, no other minotaur miniatures were available.
I've pledged for that spanish Nurgle Team a while ago and they added a Minotaur that I thought looked awesome, so I got him.
Now I finally decided that this guy should replace Grashnak in the team, so "The Hoof" may pick up his star player duties again.

Here he is, alongside some of his new teammates:

Norse Team Ulfwereners

I converted my Norse from Chaos Barbarians and a Yheti. I was really happy on how they turned out, just the fact that I also used some of them to stand in ans Ulfs was never a really satifying solution for me. One day I picked up the two different werebear players from Uscarl Miniatures and now was the time to finally retire the barbarian players and replace them with proper Ulfwerener players. Since I painted the Yheti in a snowy pelt, I decided to go for a polar bear fur too.

Here you see them with their new friends:

I am working on my Orc team, The West Coast Wyverns.
I decided on a quartered theme inspired by the GW Space Marine Chapter the Howling Griffons.
I have completed 1 Line Orc, and 2 Blitzers so far.
Right now I am working on the new GW Troll. I decided to paint him blue.
I am REALLY enjoying the troll models details, he is super fun to paint.

Current project: Voodoo-style undead.

Up next: Skaven, Slann, Orcs, Halflings, in some order.
