Unknown block die

Post by ClintonG »

Hello everyone,

I have grown very interested in the die involved in this game. I found an old Reddit thread where the OP asked where some die he acquired were from. No one knew. Attached is the picture he posted. They look similar to "Fumbbl" but not the same.

Thanks for looking

As the original poster said, they're like FUMBBL dice but not actually FUMBBL dice. I suspect they were made for sale once people saw how much the original FUMBBL dice sell for 2nd hand.

That was my thinking, I'm still curious as to who made them. They seem to be a quandary without answer.

Thanks,

Oops, my bad.
Now I did spot the difference.

Then I am also clueless.
Or maybe an earlier batch of the FUMBBL?

I was under the impression that the Fumbbl die have always looked as the do now. Does anyone know if the guy who made the fumbbl die frequents TFF?

The official FUMMBL dice have always had the same logo. 1st run had square corners than later runs. 1st run were only black, later runs various colours. OPs image are not 'offical'.

The chap you're looking for is Spubbbba, he is on here occasionally, funnily enough probably better PM'ing him on FUMMBL ;)

I’ve never seen the dice in the original pic before, don’t think they had anything to do with Fumbbl. Looks like it was either coincidence or someone was inspired by the Fumbbl colour scheme/designs and made their own take on it.

Regash has already posted a pic of the only "official" Fumbbl dice. Square ones were via a kickstarter by SunDevil and round ones from me in 2016-18.

Thank you for the clarification. They are too similar to be a coincindence, in my opinion. It's probably someone trying to capitalize on the demand for the official fumbbl dice.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Not the same design. Diagonal arrow vs side to side, big eye is not the same side, etc. But if you mean another example with simple designs in that combination of colors, yeah, it does.

That’s close, I ended up breaking down and messaging the seller about the “super rare” block dice. No response, I waited a week and asked again, Still nothing.

Disgusting. That is one of the problems with the Blood Bowl hobby. People using others work to make a profit. I am pretty sure Whatball (the designer) didn't give permission for those dice.

I would be intrigued to know which dice specifically you are talking about here please.
