Converting a Dark Elf Team
Ever since I saw axiom's dark elf team (http://talkfantasyfootball.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=38826&hilit=dark) I have been wanting to convert and paint a dark elf team of my own.
I converted this runner when the dark elf roster was revitalised, but I never completed the team:

Lately I have converted the following three miniatures and now I'm determined to complete the team. You can read more about the conversions on my blog: http://leadunderthebed.blogspot.dk/2014/11/converting-blood-bowl-dark-elves.html

I'm still not sure what to use for blitzers so good ideas are more than welcome.

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
Excellent conversions. I do not recognise most of the bits used because I only got into this hobby in the late 1990's but how would some Eldar Harlequin models do as blitzers? I could imagine that the face masks of the Harlequin Avatar models would distinguish the blitzers enough from the remaining team.

That's not a bad idea at all. The face masks of Death Jesters would look awesome too I think.the solitaire wrote:I could imagine that the face masks of the Harlequin Avatar models would distinguish the blitzers enough from the remaining team.

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
Looking fantastic! The Runner and the Witch are my particular favourites of the ones you've posted. I'm surprised to see how well the DE torsos work with the Elf legs...if I'd made that discovery myself, I'd have had a lot less hassle doing my team!
Can't wait to see how these progress

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
Here are the first two finished elves.
The first one is the runner already posted.
The second one is a new lineman I've converted.
I think the paint scheme of the Ulthuan Renegades is working surprisingly well.
Right now I'm working on an assassin. I find the usual miniatures sporting a cloak stupid so I'm taking a different route.

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
I'm working on dark elves too!
But I decided to go with Dark Eldar models...
...which probably was the worst idea I ever had!
I seem to be unable to get rid of the rifles, so I'm missing a couple (7 I think) right arms!
I really hope my Bloodrunner/Praetorians Vampire team will work out better...

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
Great work! Especially the lineman. One of the best I've seen
I'm also working on a dark elf team and you've inspired me regarding the color scheme and style (2nd edition).
I'll give yellow a try. Would you mind listing the colors you use?
Cheers

Re: Converting a Dark Elf Team
My recipe is as follows:Pedda wrote:I'll give yellow a try. Would you mind listing the colors you use?
1. White primer
2. Base coat of Citadel Yriel Yellow
3. Wash the base coat with Vallejo transparent orange
4. Touch up with Citadel Yriel Yellow
5. First highlights with Citadel Flash Git Yellow
6. Second highlights with Citadel Flash Git Yellow + white
7. Final highlights with Citadel Flash Git Yellow + more white
@Norse I used this recipe for both miniatures
I don't usually use Citadel paints, but I find that their yellows are actually quite good.
