I found a nice demon for the bloodthirster from Zealot Miniatures, but unfortunately, I can't seem to find any shop who has them in stock. DAMMIT!
He'd also be available with wings, but I don't think I need them for Blood Bowl.

I've ended up converting one from one of those dog things from age of sigmar box.

My ideal is this guy, but you need to buy an entire board game to get one!

Do you have considered the Vortice bloodthirster ?

For Underworld i use the Willy underworld troll and it's a very nice mini imo :

When I take a look into the Willy store, I can only find this warpstone troll:

And personally, I think the hat and the bird are quite stupid.

Does Vortice have their own online shop?
I can only find a facebook page (and I don't have a facebook account) and some very strange and unready blogspot page.
I found the RN estudio shop but almost everything there is marked "vendido", meaning sold out.
The bloodthirster is not even in the shop.

Yes this is the same mini.
I agree a bird will be weird (maybe as a snack) but it's not a bird it's a rat (aka the Brain) !

Hat, rat and tail are optional. I think i will use the hat as really stupid marker.

Vortice don't have a online shop but you can contact them by mail (you can find more info in the vortice topic).
I buy their ogre and the cast quality is great.

@ Shteve0:
What board game are those minatures you posted from?
Maybe they have someone else making the minis, just like the goblins with the super hero theme.

@ horkos:
Oh, if they are optional, maybe this troll is worth another look...
Thanks for the info.

Edit: The Blood Reavers from AoS just arrived and they are very static, almost no options for poses, almost cast in one piece.
I'll use them but they are not a good option.

Very interesting thread, Mike!

I wonder if that Daemon Champion from the Avatars of War range is big enough to represent the Bloodthirster big guy of the team.
I quite like the look of the miniature.
I would really love to have my Thirster without wings and not to huge. It'll be enough if he qualifies as a "big" guy...

So, here I have a couple of Blood Reavers, weapons snipped, to serve as linemen on my soon to be Khorne team.

Image

I made 12 of them and will probably use the rest to get them to play as Marauders in the Chaos Pact team .
Like I said, they are not so good for conversion as a couple of them have weapons on their belts and they are designed to fit together in one - and only one! - way!
Conversions are for people who know what they do. Unfortunately, I mostly don't! :orc:

The mini on the right had a mace on his belt and I tried to remove it.
I hope it turns out good when painted.

I think I kind of like them... :o I can already hear them shouting...
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOOD!

Edit: ...and with some base colors on him... ...and pretty much done!

Khornewise I like the Bloodthirster from Vortice best and had planned to get a hold of it for some time now. As for the demons I`d suggest to use Khornegors for heralds and regular Gors for Bloodthirsters, as they do not differ a lot when you look at the statline. This way looks and feel will stay true, no matter if you play more against a flufforiented or gameoriented player.

Heralds?!? :?:

I'm using this roster that I found not only on the interwebs everywhere:

0-16 Lineman, 6338, Frenzy, 60K (Will use said Bloodreavers from AoS, see post above)
0-4 Bloodletter, 6337, Horns, Regen., Juggern., 80K (Will use Khorne Bloodletter from box)
0-2 Beastman, 6338, Horns, Frenzy, Juggern., 90K (Still have two standard beastman I will use)
0-1 Bloodthirster, 6519, Loner, Horns, Frenzy, Claws, Juggern., Regen., Wild Animal, 180K (Still have my hopes up for the Daemon Champion)

Somehow, I don't really like the Vortice Bloodthirster...
It's a matter of taste, after all...
Like I said, I still hope this one is big enough:

From the picture, I'd say yes.
(But I really hope the tongue is optional, too. It's to long for my taste...)

This is the correct roster, but the third position is "Herald", not "Beastman":

Regash, I'm exactly in your same situation (except for the Chaos Pact team) and I did the same research as you are doing. I'm using the same minis for the Pit Fighters, regular Bloodletters for the Bloodletters, Bloodletters with champion heads for Heralds and I'm still looking for the Bloodthirster. For now, the first option is the Vortice Bloodthirster...

By the way, I was looking at the Avatars of War one, as the sculpt is pretty cool, but unfortunately it looks too small for an AoS based team. It would look perfect with a 2nd edition sized team, but the Bloodreavers are too big.
