Seems to be not so large...
But he's hunched!
Hm, will see that I'll get one into my own hands and see for myself...
Thanks for the pic!

I thought about using two of the Reavers as Ulfs for my Norse made out of Chaos Marauders.
But the difference in size (ST3 to ST4) is not big enough to make tehm easily spotted. Actually, they are about the same size as the Gors I'll use for the Beastman/Herald position.
So I still have my hopes up!

Today, my Bloodletters arrived!

Here they are after snipping the swords:

And here with a Bloodreaver and a beastman for size comparison.

Now only the Bloodthirster is missing!
...and some paint, of course!

That aow mini is about right. One of our local coaches used it and in person the size is good - viewtopic.php?f=23&t=38283&start=0

Hm, the mini is definitely bulky enough, compared to the Bloodletters.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't even dream of trying to alter the pose and straighten it up, as the guy from your thread did.
Way, way beyond anything I'd be capable of.
So I hope he'll stick out enough still being hunched.

Also, he didn't use the tongue either, so I'm positive, I can leave off the mini.
I also did cut the tongues of the Bloodletters, I thought they looked stupid.

Thanks for the link, it's cool to see what people actually can do!
Now I wonder if I could try to make some sholderpads to make the minis more bloodbowlish.
Is there any tutorial on how to do that?

So, the AoW Daemon Champ arrived.
I thought I'd try straightening him and that wasn't to bad, although my GS work sucks... bad!

But I guess, although not really "big", the Daemon Champ qualifies as a big guy and stands in for the Thirster quite nicely.
See them in comparison here:

For the right hand though, I need to rummage through some old minis and see if I can transplant one...
Weapon snip wasn't possible or would have looked extremely strange.

Now that all the miniatures for the Khorne team are here, It's time to go and look for the next.

As I stated in my first post, the Slann, if nothing goes worng, will be covered by J_Bones activities.
For the Brets, I ordered a Batalion box but haven't received it yet.

So I'm still missing Underworld and Chaos Pact.

Chaos Pact:
  • 12 Marauder
  • 1 Goblin Renegade
  • 1 Skaven Renegade
  • 1 Dark Elf Renegade
  • 1 Chaos Troll
  • 1 Chaos Ogre
  • 1 Minotaur
Underworld:
  • 12 Goblins
  • 2 Skaven Lineman
  • 2 Skaven Thrower
  • 2 Skaven Blitzer
  • 1 Warpstone Troll
That gets my "neded models" to the following:
  • 12 Marauder - Will be made from Bloodreavers I still have left.
  • 30 Goblins - Will need to update my Goblin team as well, current models are ugly.
  • 7 Skaven - Will be made from Storm Vermin I have left
  • 1 Dark Elf - Will be recruited from some minis I have.
  • 2 Troll - No idea what to use yet
  • 1 Ogre - Not sure if or if not I have one or used them all
  • 1 Mintaur Will use the one from the Nurgle team I'm currently backing.
Are there decent Goblins out there? I'll need 30 of them, so they shouldn't be to pricey...
There was a "favorite Troll" thread, So I'll look into that and of course this thread for ideas.

I've seen a goblin team made from the plastic GW Night Goblins box.

I think that there are only 20 goblins in the box, which was plenty for just a goblin team.

I've used Night Goblins for my Chaos Dwarf team Hobgoblins.
I'm not a fan of the cloaked Gobos.
I'd rather have the standard Goblins, but 2 regiments would be 60 € and I'd also like something else than GW if possible.

If I didn't already have a chaos pact team, I'd be ordering two lots of the rotters from willy's next nurgle campaign.

Alternatively the middle kingdoms from impact with some appropriate headswaps - someone on Ausbowl did that and they look great.

@ smokingmonkee:
I don't know why but neomics style is not to my taste.
Also, they only have some mutated goblins and by far not enough to flesh out two entire teams!

@ shteve0:
I'm already planing to replace my awful Undead/Necro and Khemri team with Willy teams. Ordering Goblins now too would bring me up to regions around 500 € with ease.
I'd be ordering Willy today if they weren't so unpleasantly expensive. Willy Goblins cost 64,95 € for ten Gobos and ten Gobos only. For 60 € I'd get 2 regiments of GW Goblins which would make 40(!) goblins! Not only almost 5 € cheaper but also 4 times the numer of miniatures. This is something I can't just ignore, I'm afraid.

The marauders are no problem, I've got enough Bloodreavers from AoS left, the same I used for the Khorne team.
As with neomics, I still have to find an Impact! mini that I like the style of.

I also saw that I have enough Ogres to spare one, So aside from the goblins, I have to find 2 trolls as well...

I made this underworld troll for the first edition for my tournament. It is a goblin. On top of skaven shoulders. The goblin is wearing a troll mask. It is known as the turncoat underworld troll.

For the trolls, I now decided to go with something I saw on the "Favorite Troll" thread:

Image
Image Image

Since I've worked for Ulisses Spiele (exclusive distributor for Privateer Press in Germany) and get stuff there pretty cheap, I instantly ordered me a Trollblood Axer and Impaler and hope I can convert them into something similar as shown in the picture.

The Turncoat Troll is something that I'd call a "funny" miniature and, to be honest, I don't like my teams to be funny teams.
But that is just my personal taste. So, the turncoat, as cool a miniature as it is, is no option for me.
Also, as a tournament mini, isn't it out of production?

After torturing Google through every possible search for Goblin miniatures, I gave up.
Yes, GW, you've done it again! Shut up and take my money!
So, with 40 Goblins coming my way, at least these teams should now be marked as "collected".

Thanks guys!
