Impact! Miniatures Summer sale while I take a break

Post by GalakStarscraper »

After almost 2 years of battling the life threatening health issues with my wife and son we have decided we are going to scrap up what pennies are left from the medical bills and take a last family trip as my oldest son is moving out in one month to move on to adult life.

So from this point, any order from the Impact! online store will be delayed shipping for 18 days. Shipping will start again on July 14th.

So what I am going to offer if you place an order between now and July 13th is I'll refund on anything you order from http://www.impactminiatures.com a % equal to the days left on my vacation.

So today June 26th, everything in the store will give you an 18% refund.
June 27th, 17% ... June 28th, 16% .... June 29th, 15% ... June 30th, 14%
July 1st, 13% ... July 2nd, 12% ... July 3rd, 11% ... July 4th, 10% ... July 5th, 9%
July 6th, 8% ... July 7th, 7% ... July 8th, 6% ... July 9th, 5% ... July 10th, 4%
July 11, 3% ... July 12, 2% and July 13th, 1%

The prices in the store will not be changed and the discount will not show when you checkout ... but I will go into PayPal at least every 3 days on vacation and refund any order the correct amount for the day of the order on the items they ordered.

I have appreciated the understanding everyone has shown me over the last 2 years while my company went on cruise control so I could spend the time needed at hospital and specialists. So the sale is a thank you and also me being pretty sure I cannot afford just to turn the store off for 18 days if I want to pay the next round of bills.

I hope everyone is having and does have a great summer.

Tom Anders @ Impact!

I know what you are going through, Tom. My son has cancer and he has been fighting that, and a rare blood disease. My wife and I are constantly on edge and tho John has been healthy these last months(thank God!), its like a ticking time bomb that we know can come back any time without warning. Its a crappy way to live.
John just turned 13, and he's playing hockey(he's playing defence, and he's great in the corners). So we get up at 5AM so he can get ice time. Boy, can he skate!

Anyway, I hope you get some sales. I may get something if my wife will let me(I just bought a GSG STG44 :D :D ) I spend too much $$$.

It will and I have two orders from Germany ... I'll throw some extra in them both just to make sure you are thanked!

Do you ship from UK?
Prices are absurd, if I pay in pounds or dollars instead of € the teams are cheaper.

By the way, thanks Tom, I'm really looking forward to get my stuff.

Enjoy your trip Tom.

Do you know when the trollcast divine wind team will be available?

Do europeans usually get caught and have to pay the extra VAT from Impact?

I have never got caught on Impact orders, but sometimes Customs take a chance and investigate orders, even when the paperwork is ok.

I just see VAT as a random fee you sometimes have to pay :-?

I have no issues if you pay in Pounds. Order will ship from the US but I have never had anyone tell me they had to pay customs on an order from Impact! in 10 years and 75% of my business is Europe/UK.

See above for comment about no extra VAT (email me if this happens).

I hope the Trollcast teams will be in the store before the sale ends.

Nobody telling you doesn't mean nobody paid VAT.

As far as I know, everthing coming into EU territory has to be paid taxes for.
Some mighty have very low rates but the german VAT of 19 % is mandatory, except when shipped as a present.
And with you, shipping as a company, there is no way of customs believing in a present... :orc:

On the other hand, my tracking e-mail did come from Mr. Tom Anders, not from Impact!.
If you ship under your personal name, it might go through as private stuff and is not taxed if not undergoing random sampling.

Everything is shipped under my personal name. I've done a lot of KickStarters and had many reports of packages arriving without VAT ... no one yet reported paying VAT.

Well, paypal is fu*** me, when I was going to pay I saw they had changed my country Spain for Ireland and reading the last emails from them I've seen the last 2 articles I bought in ebay were sent to Ireland, worse, I'm not the only one. I don't know if it is only my country but be aware. They must have a monkey running their servers.

I don't know if it does before or after you pay and I'm not going to try it, I'll wait till paypal answer my questions. :pissed: :pissed:
