I am in the market for a dark elf team. I am also very picky. I was on board for the Sukubus Delves but sold them on as they were exquisite but quite small and massively detailed for my painting style (and how many hours per mini I want to spend as I near forty). I passed on the iron golems Delves. They were perfect as minis and for what I envisaged as Delves - kind of second edition revisited. But I was very unhappy about the spin cast resin. It was like car tyre rubber with mold lines and uncleanable flash. And they were a bit on the small side now we have 2016 edition. Wish I'd gone for metal. Doh. I know others are less bothered.

And now do these give me hope. Thinking about it. Gaspez metal casts have been superb on my last two orders. Strangely they need a spray under coat with a Halfords Matt car spray. Or the GW or Vallejo paint just peels off. I asked the owner about it and he told me he had never heard that before and I should send him a video. In a tone that maybe lost sensitivity in translation. Or didn't Fair enough if your casts are brilliant (no mold lines and clear details). But he had sent the original items pronto and thrown in some bits and pieces for free as it had been a big order (maybe five years ago plus and most of it off the lead pile). And I didn't have the time to do the video.

But none of that would stop me on this.

It would just be these factors, which are fixable:

1) The blitzers have too much fiddly detail. Who is going to paint all those beads and the embroidered headdresses, bras and trousers. Others seem fine.
2) opponents will be confused by the witch elves who do not have the stab skill. Ditch the knives.
3) don't we need another three line women for the usual build team?
4) I'm no sculptor but there is something wrong with how some of the line women are built and standing.
5) what is the scale? Can we have a pic next to a space marine or something. Or next to a plastic 2016 GW BB miniature? I liked the other Gaspez minis as they were always on the larger side and fit in nicely with current GW sizes.

The assassins are decent.

I am always encouraging of almost any BB miniature efforts.

Hi, nice to see these two new teams. I might be pledging for the dark Elves, which seem nice and have an original theme.
But, as said above, the furies don't need knives.
And more linewomen would not hurt either.
Good luck for the campaign.

Since you have it reported in many, daggers of the witches, were replaced with the brass knuckles.

We take this opportunity to remind you that in just over three hours, the Kickstarter campaign officially come to life.

It was a choice made to provide a clear break between the two teams subject of the campaign.

One heavily armored, the other, much more agile and "naked."

That's it. :)

it's the first time that I read of a similar thing, I have a lot of gaspez's teams, and I never had troubles to paint them, I have used standar GW, Vallejo, Tamiya and Army Painter primers and the final results were always fine. Have you used a old spry? or have you not whased properly the minias??

I have never had problems. I own 14 gaspez teams, and I have always enjoyed it. I do not know what to tell you...

Another + for Gaspez Arts and Fabio. I own, I think, every team Gaspez makes, and not one is a shitter.

Mean to say, Fabio puts out high quality product every time. I honestly can't say a bad word about the man or his products.

If you want a nice looking team at really good prices, check out the offerings from Gaspez Arts.

I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

New Kickstarter from Gaspez Arts

wanted to let everyone know,my good friend Fabio at Gaspez Arts has a Kickstarter with 2 great looking new teams!

The Lion Duchy are a Bretonnian team, and the miniatures are very nice. I very much like the "peasants" of the team, The squires, who will not doubt have to take the most punishment on the line. These figures look great.

The catchers are all in "action" poses, but none of that strange "in the air" nonsense that GW tried(and stopped, that goodness)with the Pro Elves.

The noble knights, the blitzers, are the "stars" of the team. They have the best armor, and will do the most work during the game. Scoring the touchdowns and inflicting the wounds, thats their lot!

A nice looking kicker and "chucker"( for those who forget what GW once called throwers,LOL) round out the team, along with a rather nice Ogre(who could run a human team without this big dim-witted lug?).

The miniatures are a real first for Bretonnian fans. Soon you will have a team that you can be proud of, without having to "chop up" a bunch of expensive, and out of production figures(if you can find them. There are several old GW bret. figures I have been activly seeking on ebay, Barter town, etc, FOR MONTHS, and no dice. I can't find them).

The 2nd team on the kickstarter is called Black Lotus, and is a cool Dark elf side.

Now, I'm known as "anti naked lady man" here abouts, and I own that title.

But these evil ladies are really nice. Four really animated blitzers start the team, and they look good! I'm not much with a paint brush, but I'm sure most of you can bring these ladies to life with some nice purples and greys.

Two assassins are included and they look both stunning and deadly. The face veils are a nice touch, and better then the standard hood most assassins seem to wear.

The runners are my favorite of the team. The are in nice running poses(nothing over the top) and will stand out on the pitch. One look will tell you what position they represent;no confussion with these two!

Finally, the four linewomen will do the dirty work:use them as you please! Seriously, the detail on these ladies will make even me buy the team. As I said, my paint work will not do justice to these miniatures. I'll have to have the misses paint them. Shes the one with the painting service, right!

Anyway, I wanted to let you lot know what Fabio is trying to put out through Kickstart. These are really nicely detailed miniatures. Anyone who has bought a figure or team from Gaspez Arts will know the quality that comes from the company.

I am PROUD to say that over all the years I have been buying Blood Bowl/Fantasy Football miniatures, one of the few companies I will endorse is Gaspez Arts. I will also say that Fabio never turned us down when we were running our memorial tournament for my cousin Mike, who was killed in Afghanistan. He helped us with prizes every year we ran the event. Many companies would'nt even respond to my emails.

So if you are looking for great looking Dark Elf Ladies and/or tough lokking Bretonnians, jump on this kickstarter.

You won't be disappointed. I promise. :D https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/16 ... ?ref=email

Thanks Heff for that, er, deeply qualified endorsement of my personal credibility.

Let me be clear here, nothing in my post suggests people should steer clear of this Kickstarter. I am trying to resist getting the fleshy Dark Elves myself. Of all my minor qualifying concerns above the Kickstarter has sorted most: the witches have ditched the knives and they are all scale wise perfect opposite new plastic GW (thanks for comparison). There still aren't enough line women but presumably you could buy duplicates.

I think Fabio's usual sculptor, Raffaele Stumpo, is awesome. And the sculpts Fabio got off that French sculptor Sylvain are awesome. And like I said the quality of the casts in terms of detail and flash is some of the best. So I have made about two massive orders over the last five years or so (well, massive for me - around £100).

And Gaspez do paint up well - just see the massive mino, the claw chaos pact human and the dark elf with big hand I painted below:

download/file.php?id=2068&mode=view

download/file.php?id=3026&mode=view

download/file.php?id=3959&mode=view

And also these goblins:

download/file.php?id=3726&mode=view

The first big order had none of the flaking paint issues. And only half the second, years later, did. I did try a number of different paints and manufacturers of paint as I thought I must be mad. You don't normally get this issue with metal. Just resin. Maybe it was just the one batch. But if nobody else has experienced this then I am happy to accept I must be mad...

But it's all academic as, after some frustration, and yes, much scrubbing, I realised you just use Halfords Matt spraypaint like for resin.

So as far as I'm concerned nothing should stop anyone going for this Kickstarter if they want.

A very nice endorsement BfG. However as a backer of the Greebo Bretonnian team which was simply amazing! I really have to correct you that your statement that this is a first is really not the case. Especially with the Greebo Bretonnian KickStarter reaching over $70,000. So a very nice team but definitely not a first for Bretonnian fans.

I wish Gaspez luck with their new KS project.
