I'll volunteer to collect the team together and draw the name, or if we can get them done before BloodBowl, perhaps someone would take them there, get Jervis to draw a name, and then handle the mailing.

You can only win if you contribute a mini, of course.

The way it works is that we decide on a race and color scheme. Each person who wants to contributes a mini from their own collection (or more than one), paints it, and sends it to the person who's organizing the team.

We've had a couple of teams recommended so far: Norse, Skaven, Khemri, Goblins, Vampires. I'd have to recommend against Chaos, since we did that already, but it's a whole new bunch of people doing it, so if that's what people really want, it's okay. Any other recommendations? Once we get a good set of nominations, I'll put up a poll and we can vote on it.

The Khemri suggestion was tongue in cheek. Did I forget a smiley?

heh if the ogre team comes out soon, i want one of them, best way to get expensive minis ;]

how about wood elves, cause the basic team minis suck, so an all converted team might be nice

I think Goblins is a fine suggestion. No squabbling over "I get to do a Blitzer" stuff...any coaches people do can go down as assistants if they aren't head honcho. Endless scope for silly conversions and reasonably easy to paint.

For colour scheme may I suggest White? Its tricky to do right but the idea of a bunch of Goblins in really tatty, stained and probably second hand (off the back uv da wagon boss) shirts appeals to me.

I'll go buy a Gobbo regiment set tonight...I was thinking about doing a Gobbo team anyway.

Hmmmm...Gobbo thrower...

this sounds like a great idea!
so has it been decided then, is it goblins? I guess then we can have lots of entries, as the average goblin team needs a fair few players anyway!

does the best painted mini win the team, or will it be picked at random from all those who win?

either way, we should set a deadline for the end of april or something, to make sure they are all at fanatic by then.

we all need to decide on a colour scheme though - I personally find white pretty tricky to shade & highlight, and it might look a little odd on a scruffy goblin!

OK, I have a converted plastic Gobbo Chainsaw wielder all built and ready for painting once the colours are decided!
(and if we decide against gobboes I'll just use him for my own brand new Gobbo team.)

Goblins seem to have garnered a fair amount of support, so we'll stick with them. Let's get some suggestions for color schemes, and once I have a few nominees I'll put up a poll.

White was suggested, but really needs to have a contrasting color to go with it.

I'd suggest Black and Silver, in sort of a Oakland Raiders scheme. Any other ideas?

Why not go classic and use the purple/black Lowdown Rats scheme?

Aren't those three in the middle (the blatantly smaller ones) Snotling minis? Love the one third from the left. Not seen him before as far as I can remember...at least not from that angle.

I had an idea about colour scheme, completely abandoning my idea of white...if Goblins truly are hopeless, lets paint them as such: Cincinatti Bengals style! (or even, as a tribute to the new NFL champs, Old school Bucs Orange and white!)

Forgive my lack of real-life NFL knowledge, but I don't know exactly the colors of the Bungles. The Panthers and the Browns would be other good possibilities.

How about Nurgle's Rotters? They're new, interesting and it doesn't matter if they look a bit different from one another - they're Chaos!
