Hi All,

What do people use to protect their miniatures, I'm looking for a Matt finish.

Vallejo Matte brush on varnish. I prefer brush on to avoid moisture issues with sprays but I’ve heard good things about Testors Dullcote spray.

Ditto.

During the summer, or high humidity days, I use Vallejo Matte brush on varnish.

2 coats of Marabu Mattlack (matt varnish) applied with a brush. Probably there is enough with one but I prefer the extra protection. There is a spray version of it but I've never tried it.

GW 'Ardcoat followed by Army Painter Anti-Shine, both brush on because I literaly never have weather fit for spray-cans (at least not for varnishes).

What brush do you use, does it damage the brushes.

Army Painter Aegis Suit (spray, I use it pretty heavily), then a light touch of Army Painter Anti-Shine spray if needed.

The Aegis Suit is extremely shiny right when you spray it, then gets a bit flatter over the next day or so.

I use a cheap synthetic brush (currently Army Painters Hobby: Basecoating brush). It doesn't exactly ruin them, but I'd rather be safe than sorry with my good brushes.

There is also a craft decolage product that brushes on... Something like "diamond cote".... Must keep it thinned enough for ease of brushing, but darned effective.
