Looking for Tomb Guardian models - any suggestions?

Post by Twelfman »

Hiya guys,

I've kit bashed a Khemri team from old GW bits and bobs. The only thing I don't have are any Tomb Guardians. Does anyone have any ideas for models that could work?

Cheers!

Old mate of mine did similar, many moons ago, and used Ushabti as his TGs

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

See if Liam (him off of Two Drunk Flings) has any of his Mummies left, they're beautiful models.

I'm with Stowelly. My Khemri team are based on those Praetorian models (with Warhammer Khemri skeletons) and they're great. They don't look very futuristic when you paint them in bone colours.

Edit: See: "Show us your teams" page 56. Not the best of photos, but they work very well as Tomb Guardians with bloodbowl pads!

I've got a blister of old Warhammer mummies that I planned to convert but then I caved and bought the Willy Khemri team. PM me if you're interested.

If you are at 28mm scale: I used Ramtut, the two extant BB tomb guardians and the "unreleased" one that should still be available from impact miniatures....

I used Warhammer Ushabti like Lunchmoney's friend. They definitely look the part.

There were two drawbacks: First, they are irritatingly sold in a 3-pack, so you have to buy six. Second, Finecast is somehow both brittle and prone to little cracks and bubbles. So you'll have to go over your models with some green stuff, even for Tomb Guards which are supposed to look a little weathered.

Are the Reaper Bones Mummies too small in size? Price wise they look great
