A simple addition that makes the minotaur look alot better?
So this really simple 'addition' makes the current mino, Grishnak, look alot better I think. I can't put my finger on it, I suppose it makes him look more 'Blood Bowl'. It's not really even a conversion, but I do think it makes quite a difference...
What do you think, better / worse?

Hehe, o good point. It is not really a conversion, I have simpley addd some big shoulder pads!
This is what the Grishnak 'without' pads looks like:
This is my guy 'with' pads:
Not a huge change, granted, but I think it does make him look cooler (and also make his head look more in proportion!).

Cheers .
So I'm thinking of doing some BB conversions and would like some feedback; what do you think is the best thing to add to a miniature to make a BB conversion:
a) BB Helmets
b) BB Shoulder pads
c) BB Knee / Elbow pads
d) BB Something else (please specify)

I think that the spiky shoulder pads are what makes a BB mini most distinctive from other minis, so I would go on adding shoulder pads. Helmets can be quite difficult to scupt around someone's head, but they look good as well.
One other very BB look that you can go for is knuckledusters. Most BB models, like the minotaur, already have them in one for or another, but if you're converting a non-BB mini for your team then adding something that looks like knuckledusters to his fist(s) works wonders I think.

Shoulder pads are good, and aren't too hard to find, or even sculpt. Facemasks are another thing that that'll give a mini that bloodbowl look. I used the curved sections of some paperclips on my night goblins, which worked well enough.
I'll second knuckledusters too, for bashier players. They don't look right on elves. Big gauntlets, chain wrapped around the fist, and mail gloves all work as well.

Hmm, yeh I think shoulder pads is the way to go. I have been messing around with sculpting with green stuff for a while now, I reckon that the GW plastic regiments are so good nowadays that wiith the addition of some pads they make great BB teams plus from one box set you can get the 'entire team', not just 12 players.

Well I will stick to trying to sculpt Shoulder pads at the moment .Stu wrote:Shoulder pads are good, and aren't too hard to find, or even sculpt. So how much would you pay for 32 (team of 16) Metal Shoulder Pads? £12? £10? Nothing.........?
