what if a chansaw loony knocks down another chainsaw loony?
does the Armour roll bonus become +6?

No. The 2nd +3 kicks in if the player is Knocked Down. The only way the player is Knocked Down is if the AV at +3 is successful. So in effect yes it does kick in ... but only if the first +3 would break AV anyway.

I don't really catch the point, but I'll assume that the Armour Roll modifier won't be more than +3...

The acting guy's AV modifier kicks in before the defending guy is knocked down. The defending guy's AV modifier then applies, but it's late to the party and all the AV rolling is done. So then you roll injury normally.

There is a timing issue, so the two modifiers do no stack directly.

+3 and +3 does not in this case give +6. It gives +3, and then an irrelevant additional +3.

One Loony bounces into another Loony.
1. Roll AV with a +3 for your chainsaw.
2a. Knocked him down? Add another +3 for his chainsaw. Roll injury.
2b. Didn't knock him down? Don't worry about his chainsaw. Safety first!

I was missing that the +3 kicks in instead of the block dice, not after.
