Pro on a KO Blitz AND the Catch

Team Re-Rolls and the Kick-off Table
You may not re-roll the result on the Kick-Off table with a team re-roll. In addition, subsequent rolls from Kick-Off events such as the D3 roll for Brilliant Coaching or D6 for Riot may not be rerolled. A team re-roll may not be used for any catch roll when the ball lands: however, players may use the Catch or Pro skill to reroll the catch roll.

The queston is not if you can use the Pro skill in your Blitz! turn.
The question is: Can you use it in your Blitz! turn and then again when the ball finally comes down from the kickoff?
The rules clarify the following things:

• Pro can be used on your own turn.
• Pro can be used on your opponents turn.
• Pro can be used to reroll a failed catch during kick-off.

This means, you can use pro for, let's say, a failed block. Then you can use it again when you fail to catch the kick-off. And again, if in your opponents turn, the ball scatters back to your player who is trying to catch it.

The problem is when these games get very competitive, such as at tournaments? And these things crop up. Thankfully they don't all that often!!

I think the solution is to play as the rules are written, not a fluff interpretation. Otherwise the rules become arbitrary and the fun of a competitive game just goes out the door.

Now I will disagree with you there. If it was unfair ... you'd see a lot more of it being pick ... but you will not find many catchers grabbing the Pro skill which is a fairly good sign that it is not unfair.

Exactly! Most people probably will until now not have realized it could be a problem.
And just because it seems unfair to me doesn't make it unfair!

Then, whatever if pro was used or not during this blitz turn, pro might be used (per the same player) during the landing of the ball (in order to catch it)

I see 2 different simple use here, happening in 2 different sequences/turn
