Deathbowl inducements

Post by chewitt »

How do inducements work in 4-player Deathbowl? We've got TV values of A:1490, B:1370, C:1080 and D:1000 in an upcoming final, and the lower TV players each get an inducement pool based on the highest TV player (1490). So player B gets 120, C gets 410 and D gets 490. Makes sense so far and follows the rules for regular Bowl.

However, the confusion is that players A, C and D have substantial treasuries with which to increase their inducement pool (90, 150, 210 respectively). If the lower players use their treasuries to bump up inducements, does player A get that extra to spend as in regular Bowl? Which means that he could gain an extra 300k (90 treasury plus 210 'top-up' from D) and player B would be at a serious disadvantage.

Any advice?

There were never any official rules for Deathbowl and inducements, so the answer is do whatever feels best for you and your players.

Personally I'd say all coaches need to decide how much, if any, of the treasury they want to spend before working out inducements, but then I'm not a fan of the 'topping up' method

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
